Description of Work: Alan McCarthy is not only a great mechanic he is also honest,trustworthy and fair. I've been using his business for the past 15 years and have never been disappointed in his work, service or his prices! He test drives each car before it leaves his shop and always says to come back if something seems to be wrong. He has also stepped in to assist when I have had to have other work done (eg new tires or alignment)and was told I needed to have something done - he has gotten on the phone with the new provider and told them to send the part because he had just replaced it and it was under warranty. Saved me a very pricey and unnecessary repair bill. I can not say enough good things about Mr. McCarthy and his business.

 + -1 moreAllen called us within a couple of hours. It turns out there were 2 bolts missing from our transmission and it had moved 1/4" from where it should have been. It has been our experience that for such a simple fix at other auto repair garages, we would have been charged a lot more. We always take all of our cars to McCarthy's. They are very fairly priced and give great customer service. Also, they let us know if there are any issues we may want to address, but don't try to talk us into services that aren't necessary.
Description of Work: We thought the clutch or transmission was failing in our truck. We took it to McCarthy's expecting it would take several days to repair.
