Insurance Agencies
It ended badly. I have had insurance with Evergreen since they were the Holsinger Agency. My homeowners was so screwed up; the policy was going to my ex-husband, at my old address, and I ended up being cancelled. Funny that they can reach me by phone or mail to sell me something...but they can't get the bills right? I had to buy new insurance because 'the underwriter wouldn't reinstate" and it cost me nearly four hundred dollars more. My auto policy was similarly screwed up, probably by the same individual, after she made changes to it, without talking to me, and my bills were going to my ex-spouse and his were coming to me. His auto insurance got cancelled because of this and the DOT sent for his plates and notified his finance company.
In 2010 I had an auto claim; a deer ran into the side of my car. I got NO HELP from anyone at Evergreen, other than the referral to a toll free number, and got no help from the home office personnel either. I was pretty much on my own to get a rental car and file for a time extension when my car wasn't done.
When I bought a new car this summer, I was sold "replacement coverage" for my new auto policy. I'm still not sure how this one works, but apparently my auto insurance won't replace my car with something of equal value, or total it to the Blue Book, unless I buy this coverage. I'm still not clear on the purpose of insurance in the first place after that.
This is the most incompetent group of clowns that I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They sent me a market research survey about quality of service in the summer and I threw it away because it frustrated me to even think about responding. This agency has become such a sales-driven entity; they're very much in the business of SELLING insurance and sure not about service, quality, or expedience.
