I noticed a small oil leak coming from around my transmission, so I washed underneath my truck. It came back pretty quickly, so I decided to take it to the dealership. They had my truck for about 4 days, then they told me that it was leaking oil and they'd have to tear it apart to look at it. That, to me, sounded like another week worth of dealership labor costs, plus I'm sure they'd figure out something else that needed to be fixed.
I live right by Aamco and notice that there are always a lot of vehicles there for service, which in my mind means they do good work., so I took it there for a second opinion. I told them the same thing I told the dealership, and in about 3 days it was fixed for $100 less than the dealer quoted me. I'll be going here first if I ever need any auto work in Indiana.
