FRED JONAS PLUMBING & HEATING

It went very well. John called me at 6:20am (!) to tell me he'd be here in 1/2-1 hr. He showed up and replaced the valve in about 20 minutes. While we were waiting for the system to cool down, he did a bit of maintenance on my boiler and explained useful things to me. We are in the middle of a terrible cold snap and I was grateful that he was able to come and fix my issue so efficiently.

Fred Jonas has been my plumber for the last 10 years.  Trustworthy, honest and skilled.

Replaced sewer line coming from 2nd floor bathroom, which also carried rainwater from the roof.  I had been away for a period of time and the kitchen ceiling was leaking... it was a hardcore leak. Which led to the ceiling partially collapsing form the massive, albeit invisible hole in my kitchen roof.  This wasn't an easy job by any stretch....  the pipe had to be repaired and reconfigured because of the backassward way it was installed.  Fred, Ian and John et all did a fantastic job zinc I can't thank them enough.  

Employee was a bit late.  I said I thought the toilet needed to be snaked but he thought a new flapper would do the trick and he was right.  He showed me the shut-off valves and used a dye to check for a leak in the pipe.

Called on a Sunday, whoever called back was a bit abrupt on the phone, but said he'd be there on Monday.  When pressed for something more specific, he said AM.  At noon, nothing, so we called again - "sorry, I forgot".  Anyway, Fred quickly came himself and before 1PM all was complete. This was the first time we'd had anything less than a positive experience, and since it was resolved quickly, we will use them again.

Called to request service after setting up an estimate, and was able to set up work for the same week (though I put it off slightly to accommodate work schedule.)  Fred showed up early, walked me through every step, and replaced my water main in about 6 hours.  He even swept up my basement and volunteered to wipe up the floor. 

Jonas was recommaned by another plumber who could not make the call.  The workers arrived early, were polite and professional.  Would use again.

It went very smoothly. The worker had to remove most of the items stored under the sink so he could work, and discovered that it was wet, so I had to let it dry out for a couple of days, and then put them back inside.

Very well.

Fred showed up on time, which we love -- and got right to work. We live in a tiny row house, so getting things in and out can be difficult. But Fred got those heaters in and out with his skill and know how! He always cleans up the area when he's completed a job. He even stayed to chat with us about the neighborhood.

In describing our problem to him, he was intelligent enough to diagnose the problem and estimate the possible cost. He is very knowledgeable and has a fair price.

So far I have been satisfied. He gives prompt service. I think his prices are reasonable. The quality of work has been fine and I have never had a problem.

He showed up when he said he would. He did great work at a terrific price. Another company was going to charge me about $560. When I explained the problems to him over the phone he told me how much he thought it should cost. When he actually came out to the house we saw how competent he was and decided to give him more work.

Three visits & twice the money for a simple job. I am very dissatisfied. I would NOT recommend. The staff seems NOT interested in taking their time and pleasing the customer. They are more concerned with charging as much money as possible for the least amount of work.
