Definitely call this company if you need an older model car key made. I have a car that is about 25 years old a lot of places I called told me either an outrageous amount to have the key made or basically they couldn?t make my key period. When I called Phila Locksmith they gave me an exact price over the phone and had someone to me in about an hour. The technician Al, made me a key for my ignition and a key for my door, because my vehicle had 2 different keys. I was able to pay using my credit card which was a plus because I had absolutely no cash on me. This company is the company to call if you ever need immediate service and do not want to wait.

They were good. They change the keys on the car and house, they did everything so fast. I was really satisfied with them.

I was in the city to celebrate my anniversary and while enjoying a few cocktails I managed to loose the keys to my car, I searched all over the restaurant I was at and could not find them. The waiter gave me the phone number to these guys and the rest is history. I called into the office it was just about midnight and the girl who answered was very polite and calmed me down reassuring they would have the technician there in about a half hour. It was just over 45 minutes when the guy alan showed up and helped me out. He made the new key to my car in a few short minutes and he even cut me a spare to avoid loosing it in the future. when he finished he gave me the receipt and was so helpful I did not have enough cash on me so he told the office i was going to split the payment with cash and my card it was so easy to deal with these guys and the price they told me on the phone was exactly what I paid. I will recommend them to anyone I know who needs the service of a locksmith. I even gave the business card alan gave me to a guy who was locked out of his car the other day during the snow at the super market. By the time I was coming out of the store there was already a guy on site unlocking the guys door!

Wonderful job overall. I called and on the first ring a representative picked up the phone. She forwarded my response to an oncall locksmith who called me back within 5 minutes. Arrived at my house within 30 minutes (keep in mind I called at midnight!). diagnosed the problem very quickly and showed me what the problem was. I needed a new lock, he saved me lots of money by using one he had in his truck instead of having me purchase a new set from the manufacturer. Ran into some very technical issues but again quickly resolved those problems. Spent approx 1 hour on the job. Gave me the price I was quoted and gave me the option of cash or credit. Very polite service man. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. Good thing I didn't read the other reviews because they were pretty bad. My experience was very different than the others.

I was satisfied with the promptness of service. I was satisfied with the new locks performance. I am not satisfied with the lack of professioalism and the big difference in the price quoted. I am not seatisfied with not providing me with a business card on request. I am not satisfied that their address is not on the receipt. I am not satisfied with the uneasy feeling the technician may or may not be in possession of the keys to my house. I also feel I was overcharged for the service performed. He was only here for thirty minutes. I also do not like the ideal he was insisting on cash. He should have told me that before he performed the work. That also should be fully stated in the yellow pages and when I made the appointment over the phone.

When I viewed the details of your service with our technician I found that we did record the complaint you had lodged over the telephone and found that this technician was making this a reoccurring behavior, he was relieved of his duties shortly there after. We find that the actions of the locksmith were not what we at American Best strive for when serving our customers. All technicians are to provide a final price, BEFORE they complete any service for our customers based on that unique situation. However, we still DO NOT accept checks as a form of payment. Once again I would like to apologize for the unprofessional behavior that the technician displayed, but also thank you again for your complaint so that we could prevent this from happening again."

I will never use this company again. Highly priced, uses inexpensive materials and extremely unorganised. After promising a certain time to do the job, they did not arrive until 2 hours later. I was told arrive at 10 am. I leave my job to go to my house and then receive a call it will be I was originally told the lock add on an additional hour for service. I can not go back to job so I wait. After an hour passes another technician calls to tell me it will be another hour before he arrives. He calls to say he is at my house but he was actually at another house. The dispatcher gave him the wrong address. I tell him the correct address and he says he is in the area and it will only take another 15 minutes. 45 minutes later I call him and he does not answer the phone. I call dispatcher who sends out man to arrive another 45 minutes. I have wasted 2and a half hours. The job was to originally cost $285 but because of my aggravation he took off $20.00. I do not know about you but my time and aggravation with this company is worth more than $20.00. I used this company several times before, but I will never use them again. Further he deadbolt they put on was a cheap $10.00 version you can get at any hardware store.
