The initial work started out great. Quality of work very reliable and awesome attention to detail. Put in long hours, there everyday. Very flexible in changing plan of action to suit evolving issues in the remodel process. Contractor agreed to a set rate for all projects, discounted based on immediate payment of full amount owed vs half now and then half later. After payments were made via Contractor's Paypal account, claimed that payment did not go through and transaction was faulty and needed to be refunded and reissued. Never issued refund. Blamed the failure for refund on Paypal. Borrowed money from us to cover cell phone bill claiming that if they did not borrow it we would have no way to reach them/stay in contact. Brought their wife and 2yr old daughter with on job to stay in our house for the entire time that contractor worked. Used family as an excuse for needing more money to cover shut off notices of their electric and cell phone bill and eviction notice due to back rent. After confronting contractor about funds owed, contractor continued to place blame on Paypal, and justified not paying us back on the fact that they did us a favor by agreeing to give us a discounted rate on the services. Contractor borrowed money from friend to cover the amounts owed. Deposited the check into our account and in doing so also took it upon themselves to withdraw money without authorization from us. The contractor failed to show up to work soon after depositing the check into our account. The check deposited ended up being out of a fraudulent account for which the bank froze our account and would not cover the loss in funds due to authorization we gave to the contractor to deposit the check. The entire experience sounds ridiculous and yet they were very manipulative and persuasive in their swindling money. It was not until this happened that we learned of their addiction to Heroin and that they have done very similar things to other couples. Our attempts to contact them and/or obtain our money have been unsuccessful. We have had to change our locks, hire a lawyer, file a police report, file criminal charges, file civil suit, as well as testify to other aspects for which we are not allowed to disclose at this time. SADLY His work is awesome and he is very knowledgeable. However it appears that addictions are more powerful than honesty or decades long acquaintance/relationship. We do not want others to fall victim to such behavior and thus we write this review to forewarn all those considering his services.
