Arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. Had to order parts and was back within a couple days and made the repair. Washer is running like new again. There was no secondary service fee and they made good on the estimated cost... i.e. no added costs.

My gas dryer no longer got hot. They scheduled an appointment within a few days. The technician was very knowledgeable. The parts had to be ordered so he returned to make the repairs within a week. The repair was rather expensive but the technician said I will probably get another 10 years from the dryer. It has been working great for over a year now.

The washing machine repair was a simple switch replacement. Most of the cost was labor charges. The repair was made in less than an hour.

Both times the technicians and the office staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.

The repair took two trips and was relatively expensive but it was in line with what they originally estimated. This is our 2nd experience with this company. Just like last time they were very responsive to calls and quickly scheduled an appointment. The repair person arrived in the time allotted and they work very hard and very fast while in our home. The technicians seemed very knowledgeable and repaired our refrigerator to its original working condition.
Most impressive is that there was a miscommunication between myself and the first technician resulting in some parts being ordered that he originally told me were not needed. When this was pointed out to the 2nd technician who came and completed the job, rather than charge me for the parts (which he did us in the repair), he apologized for the miscommunication and removed the charge.

He dismantled the tub mechanism and showed me how the tub mounting had deteriorated-was breaking-up. He gave me an estimate of the repair costs but also said that he believed it more advisable to puchase a new washer. He did not suggerst any particular dealer. He does not sell applicances, only repairs. He partially reassmebled the washer so that it could be easily moved and charged me a reasonable price for his services. I was satisfied with his services and his price. I would definitely call him again.

How did it go? Badly.
Cat Appliance Repair was first called 93/2013. A technician arrived eight days later.
He determined that a new water and ice dispenser would be needed. He was not very familiar with the refrigerator.
Weeks went by with no word from Cat Appliance as to when the part might be expected.
Finally, I called them 10/5/2013 to ask about it and to point out that letting me know what was happening with the order. and quot;Jocelynand quot; promised to stay in touch.
A week later I called Cat Appliance to ask again, what was up with the repair.
and quot;Jocelynand quot; told me that the part had arrived damaged and that it would be another few weeks. When I complained about poor communication, she offered a weak apology
(In the meantime, I looked for the same part on the Internet and found that I could have had it delivered myself in four days.)
The part finally arrived and a technician showed up with it October 22nd.
He had no idea how to get the old part out of my refrigerator.
I found three pages of photos and a description on the Internet and provided that to the technician.
Even with that, it was difficult to remove and he finally destroyed the old assembly and tore it off the door.
After that, installing the old part was easy.
Cat Appliance is not very professional but I would use them again as they are about the only choice that I could find on Angie's List. This is particularly true after a bad experience with Sear's technician dealing with a washing machine repair.

"Here at CAT Services we understand the frustrations and concerns with appliance repair. The technician arrived at the home on the day of service that was selected. Diagnosed the switches in the I/M were bad and would need a new display cover assy. The est was given for parts/labor and approved. Unfortunately, the part needing ordered was a special order and would take approx. 2-3 weeks for delivery in which we did communicate to you. We were notified by the manufacture 2 weeks after ordering the part that it was on back order. When we received the part it was damaged and you were notified of this and that the replacement part was ordered the same day. Due to it being the same part, it would be again the 2-3 week delivery time frame. We apologized for the delay but due to the manufacturer delays and damaged parts our company was put into a difficult situation. The replacement part was received and we scheduled repair promptly. Since the final repair was completed, we hope your unit has been working flawlessly. Due to the ongoing issues with this manufacturer not being communicative and receiving damaged parts we have since decided as a business to no longer service their appliances. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact the office to speak with the owner at 717-214-6899."

When I called CAT the woman I spoke with was extremely pleasant and helpful. I called on a Friday morning an she informed me that the earliest appointment was on the following Monday morning. When I pressed her to see if they could come out sooner she put me on hold and called the repair technician who said he could stop by in the late afternoon if that was OK with me. I was not charged an and quot;emergencyand quot; fee which was great! While I was on the phone the woman asked me to describe the problem. I told her what the problem was and what I thought was wrong based on a little research that I had done. She thanked me for the info and said that she would have the technician pick up the needed part prior to arriving since it isn't a part they stock. The technician arrived on time and was professional, knowledgeable, and fast. After going through and eliminating any other potential causes for the problem he determined it indeed was what we thought, had the part on hand, and repaired it quickly. The overall experience was excellent! The cost was a bit high and I might have been able to get a better price elsewhere but for the speed and quality received it was with it paying a little extra!

Very good. I once had a home warranty and they were one of the contractors with that home warranty company so, that's how I became familiar with them. They do very good work. My refrigerator's icemaker was repaired quickly and correctly; as of today (2/18/2013), no problems. However, my over-the-range microwave was on its last legs (it came with my house and my house is 13 years old), as the controller board needed to be replaced but the manufacturer of the microwave doesn't make the boards for it anymore. I had to get a replacement microwave. I would recommend them.

It went great. I consider myself knowledgable around tools and am able to fix most things around our house. I appreciated the logical process Ron used to eliminate areas that might be the problem. It just made sense how he diagnosed the problem. The other companies seemed to be in a hurry but Ron said CAT's policy was to get it right the first time. I appreciated that effort.

clI returned home this morning, Monday 4 June, about 0930 and found a puddle of water in front of my Samsung refrigerator and the interior temperatures at basically room temp. I did a quick check of yellow pages and Angie's List for Appliance Repair companies. The first one I contacted did not deal with Samsung products. I then contacted Erica at CAT Services at 1020am. She advised that all the service personnel were out on calls and would most likely not be available today, so I asked to set up a service call for the next day, Tuesday 5 June, in the morning. Erica then most efficiently collected my information (address, phone, name) as well as the refrigerator make/model/serial number. She said she'd contact her boss and see what could be done today and would call back later to advise me whether or not anything could be done today. At about 1115, Erica called me and advised that a repair tech could come by between 1 and 5 PM and asked if I would be available. I told her I would, and she then advised that I would be called about 15-20 minutes prior to his arrival. At about 330 PM, I received a call from Grant, the technician, and he advised he would be at my house in about 25 minutes. At about 4 PM, Grant arrived and asked me to describe the symptoms/conditions regarding the refrigerator. Grant examined the refrigerator's schematic and began troubleshooting right away. Within about 10 minutes he determined that the overload protection and relay switches on the compressor were both faulty. He replaced the switches and viola - the fridge started right up after being plugged back in! Grant cycled the power once more to ensure that the compressor and relay worked correctly. He advised me to allow it to cool down at least 24 hours and to NOT load up the fridge with a lot of groceries for a few days to ensure that the compressor was indeed stable. He closed everything back up and prepared the bill, I paid him by check and he left - less than 30 minutes from start to finish! Grant was very efficient, explained what he was doing, communicated well, was professional and courteous. I would definitely use CAT Services again without hesitation. Erica really went the extra mile to get someone out to my house today, I couldn't be more pleased with CAT Services responsiveness and effectiveness.

$400 sounds like an awful lot for these 2 jobs, but it was actually pretty reasonable. Our oven is a Gaggenau, purchased and installed at least 25 years ago. It's a wall oven with a side-opening door which had started to sag a bit. Worse, the gasket around the door got loose and finally broke. I called several appliance repair outfits and had found only one that could do the job, but they wanted so much money that I thought I might have to buy a new oven instead. When I called Cat Services, the woman on the phone was very helpful in tracking down the unusual part I needed. The repairman, Guy, came as scheduled, replaced the gasket and tightened the door.
Guy also, and quot;while he was hereand quot; looked at my relatively new washing machine, which had just started leaking. Mysteriously, it would sometimes fill with water when I wasn't using it. Guy diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and came back, as scheduled, a few days later to fix the machine. He also suggested ways to keep the problem from reoccurring.

It was a pricey replacement but it is an expensive brand and not every appliance repair center is able to work on this type of refrigerator.They were very professional, arrived on time and cleaned up afterwards. We would certainly use them again.

I was given CAT services and another provider from the Frigidaire warranty hotline. The other provider did not answer their phone, so I called CAT (only reason they were called second was due to demographics--the other company was closer). I described the problem (my ice maker was not making ice since day 1 that I lived in the house--the house was refurbished and I purchased it with "new" appliances already installed), and with only a few questions regarding the model and serial numbers and where I could locate them, they offered to come out at my convenience. Much to my amazement they had an opening for the very next day. The serviceman was professional and got right to work, and engaged me in pleasant conversation during his time. He went over the refrigeration unit top to bottom, and made a few adjustments, and even fixed a condenser issue (misaligned drain plug) which could have lead to future problems. Unfortunately, it was a bad ice making unit, and not something that he could fix on the spot, but everything was noted accordingly in his paperwork and he was on his way. The ice maker was ordered for me, and when it arrived at CAT Services, they called me to initiate an installation date. I expressed my lack of availability and they scheduled me in for the evening of the very next day. The same serviceman was on his way out, gave me a call to let me know and when I advised him that I was stuck in traffic he told me that he would wait until I arrived to come in. In the time it took me to get home (15 minutes), my wife had arrived home, let him in and he completed the repair work and was gone when I got there. Everything was working right away! Super service!
