Bryan‘s quote was very accurate. If any problems arose during the process he made sure to involve me and let me make the decisions while informing me of potential additional costs so that I was able to make the most informed decision for my home. There was a lot of damaged wood that he carefully replaced. He also resecured loose nails and added missing nails to the roof before putting down the underlay and then the shingles. He uses only GAF materials which have a lifetime warranty and a limited window warranty. These products are made here locally in Pennsylvania. My roof was just over 3000 square-foot and he had it done in four days, this may vary depending on weather. I would highly recommend Brian if you want the job done right. He is not a contractors upon his work off on hire employees is hands-on and very conscientious of his craftsmanship.

The owner, Brian, prepared the proposal after climbing on our roof to examine it. He answered my questions. I had several further questions which I submitted to him by email. He responded promptly to each contact. The cost was more than fair. The roof replacement was performed approximately one month after the proposal, and the quality is excellent. There were small things that were done that do not appear in a proposal. Adequate covering was provided for any threatened rain. All loose plywood was nailed down. All loose nails were removed, including any that had found their way into the gutter. This is a careful and conscientious professional. Brian works with one longtime coworker. So when one reads Brian’s favorable reviews you can be assured that these reviews are applicable to his future jobs. Many roofers have crews that change in composition. Some roofers even have several crews. In that instance you can’t be sure that the workers on your job will match the quality of the reviews you have read. That was very important to me. If you hire Brian, you will get Brian and his longtime coworker.

Brian was the only contractor, of the 3 Angie's List rated contractors I contacted, who bothered to go up on the roof & inspect it before quoting a price. They all proposed using the same roofing shingles. Brian's price was $1500 less than the next price quote. I had to wait a couple months to get the work done, but that was not a problem for me. Brian does not use sub-contractors and does all the work himself with one helper. He was a little slow to respond to phone messages. They cleaned up every day & left no debris at the end of the job. The project was finished just before a prolonged rainy period when we received nearly 15 inches of rain in less than 2 weeks, and there have been no leaks or problems of any kind. This job turned out as good as could be expected & I have already recommended the company to 2 people.

We needed to replace our roof and contacted several contractors to come out to give us an estimate. I felt very comfortable talking with Brian. He actually got up on, and looked at the existing roof. Brian was very informative when explaining the work that he would perform. I contacted him twice with questions and each time he was very prompt at returning my calls. We called on Wednesday, he gave an estimate on Thursday, and completed the work on Friday. Very impressed with and thankful for the prompt service. Giving a "good" rating on quality until we have a chance to see how the fix holds up and, if satisfied, will adjust rating to excellent. Our house is on the top of a hill and receives a lot of high winds - this is the 2nd time in 3 years that section of roofing has needed to be fixed (a different roofer fixed the first time). Brian and his employees did a great job in excessive heat. We were very happy with workmanship and neat. They cleaned all trash and made sure there was no nails left lying around. They were very polite and considerate. We would recommend him very highly. Cost wise very reasonable.

Following the 30 inch snow storm of January 2016, my wife and I discovered that part of our roof, soffit and downspout could be seen pulling away from the house. We contacted a roofing contractor that came and gave me an estimate of $6,500 dollars to replace the roof.
I checked Angies list and B.E. Shank came to the house, got up on the roof and said our roof needed replaced along with some of the underlayment that had rotted out. We scheduled the repairs and he and another worker showed up on time and within three days he removed two electric roof ventilators and the rotten underlayment.
There is no question that the roof underlayment was worse than I thought. I told Brian I know the worked he estimated would exceed his estimate and told him to do whatever he need to do to make repairs After three days the roof was done, shingles taken away and the exterior checked with a magnet for nails. Brian did not charge for the extra underlayment work.
I will have him back to replace my garage roof this summer. His work was outstanding. I have a lifetime guarantee and the roof looks great.
