Hiring Craft Pro Masonry to fix our leaking chimney was a monumental mistake! We paid Craft Pro Masonry over 12K to fix a leaking chimney (which still leaks), including an extra $900 for counter flashing which was never installed. The owner (Mike) both verbally and in a written contract assured us the work he did on our chimney would fix the leaking or he would personally come out to inspect it and make all future repairs at his costs! Our mutually signed warranty reads “if there is a leak or failure, we will be out within 48 hours to inspect the issues, figure out the underlying problems and correct them at our costs.” Do not believe it! Mike still has not come out to inspect his work, we still have a leaking chimney, and he still has not corrected his work. Fortunately, we have found a reputable company to repair the shoddy work that Craft Pro Masonry did on our house. Hiring Craft Pro Masonry was a big mistake and be aware that if you have a problem he may not honor his contract!

No complaints about the work or the workers. I was very happy with the results and several neighbors came by to compliment me on the job and get Mike's number.

Mike and his crew were professional, timely, and did what they said they were going to do. The quality of work performed on my house is top notch and looks outstanding! I will definitely be using craft pro masonry again for future projects. I would highly recommend using them.

Pushed back our job until it got cold outside terrible time to do that kind of work. Made one less step on the staircase that left the bottom step too high from the ground. Walkway they didn't fix right just put cement on top of old work so within days it all cracked out exposing the old cracked cement walk. Came back to redo it but they did the same thing. He was going to come back to fix the back yard because they destroyed it no more grass much everywhere big truck marks etc. they said that it was too cold and wrote a contract saying they would come back in March to finish. Never returned called over and over no return calls. We got fed up work still not done. A guarantee is only as good as the honest person which they are not. Would never call them again. The guy in charge always whining about why he doesn't show up.

Mike Fried, owner of CraftPro, is great. He's nice, smart, and has a very apparent commitment to doing good work. The new walls look great.

This company did both chimney stone and brick repair to a residence.  I was able to get an appointment for an estimate quickly and was very impressed with the knowledge regarding the type of work that needed to be done for the repair.  The scheduling for the work was a little more difficult as they were backed up with several jobs.  However once the work was scheduled and begun they did a great job with the entire crew very professional.  They even returned on a Saturday to finish the work as there was to be an Open House on Sunday.  They cleaned up the entire area after the work was done and aside from the great work done you would never have known that stones and brick had been replaced and cemented.

It was very good.  The two men that came out were great too.  I had no issues with them.  They got here on time and cleaned up.

We originally hired Craft Pro Masonry to repoint some brickwork on two exterior walls and our two chimneys. Once the repair work on the front chimney was underway it was clear it needed more extensive repairs so we expanded the project to include a full rebuild of the front chimney.
The quality of the work was high:
- The brickwork looks good
- The repointing used red mortar to match the original style with the red bricks
- The long relining run for the front chimney was accomplished without any access holes
- Our front chimney looks the best on the street now
The workers were great:
- Mike Fried would come round at our convenience even late in the evening to discuss the project. He was nice, knowledgeable and friendly and read to answer any questions we had.
- They went out of their way to work out a payment plan with our neighbor to help them pay for their share of the shared chimney rebuild.
They could improve in the following ways:
- Communicate better about the work schedule. Most of the time we knew when the guys would come around to do the work but there were a few times when they showed up without telling us they were coming and were unable to get inside for the interior work since my wife and I weren't around. If we'd known in advance we could have rescheduled or avoided some of their wasted trips.
- Giving better guidance and help with keeping the house clean and free of dust and debris during the messiest parts of the work. There were a few areas where dust and debris caused a mess since my wife and I didn't anticipate where was most likely to let in the dust during the work.

Although they weren't the cheapest quote, I felt the most comfortable with Mike's expertise and thorough inspection of the damage. He took the time to educate me on their process and potential issues with older homes like mine. When the old stairs were removed and it was realized that a deeper footing would need to be poured than what was mentioned in the quote, but they only charged me "at cost" for the additional cement. Despite the added cost, I appreciated that they didn't want to cut any corners and the job was being done right.

They showed up daily and on time until the job was complete. It's impossible to tell that there was ever any damage with how they matched the bricks to the rest of the wall and hid any stabilizer holes. The finished job was professionally executed and exactly what we had discussed. I would recommend them to a friend.

I have lived in a 100+ year old beautiful stone house for over 16 years. My house became my passion on settlement day and remains so today. But as all things worthwhile, my house demands constant upkeep and maintenance but of a very un-ordinary kind. Most recently, I had a severe leak in one of my beautiful large church shaped windows. Mike Fried of Craft Pro Masonry answered my call for help and quickly diagnosed the problem as well as identified several areas that would soon become problems. I was coincidentally working with a contractor to install a much needed bathroom fan (unheard of when my house was born). The only unsolved problem to adding a fan was that I did not want the ugly modern-day plastic (or whatever man made "stuff") vents. I was lucky enough to mention the issue to Mike. A few days later he arrived at my house with a stone carved vent, of course that perfectly matched the house. He quickly chipped out the necessary mortar and inserted my brand ?new? Flintstone Vent". Every day when I come home from my walk, I look up at my second floor where the bathroom is, and thank Mike for allowing me to stay in the Stone Age.

P.S. I no longer have leaks, all the pointing is beautiful, and I will forever treasure my "Flintstone Vent".

The chimney was pulling away from the house. We hired Craft Pro Masonry to completely tear it down and rebuild it. Every day, they showed up early and immediately got to work. They were polite and friendly and kept their working area tidy. We were extremely happy with the finished product.t was easy to tell they took great pride in their work. Not only did they rebuild the chimney they scrubbed it down and polished it up. INow we've got to get the rest of that side of the house looking as good as the chimney.
We were also very happy with Craft Pro Masonry, taking on the additional work of replace the concrete steps to our garage.
We'd definitely recommend them and were happy with their service.

It went very well.  Mike Fried, the owner, gave me a fair estimate for the work and displayed a thorough knowledge of stones and masonry, particularly the problems involved in mixing mortar to match that used in antique stonework.  The cleaning firm who were subcontractors for that part of the job were excellent and professional and solved the damper problem.  Rob and Jason, who did the actual stonework, were professional as well, and worked around problems caused by a snowstorm in a way that didn't inconvenience us.  Everyone I talked to was polite and considerate of our house, and left everything as clean as possible.
