SADCO FOREIGN CAR REPAIR

Are you ready for the Auto repair story from H***!!?!?!? This has GOT to be the worst thing you have EVER heard! My car is STILL sitting in this shop after 3 YEARS!!! And in that time I have met another guy (thru my family) that has his engine up there for repairs at this same particular shop for over a year or 2 already. And he can't get his engine back either. This is basically purgatory for German vehicles. They go in...but they just don't come out! I'm in the process of starting legal action against this guy if he doesn't call me back soon. There are at least 5 or 6 MORE cars sitting there for YEARS! They have all been sitting there since MY car has been there. I see the SAME cars there for YEARS! And they are STILL there with mine. My Porsche is there going on 3 years now. All these cars are sitting there in various states of disrepair. The owner Bob will not answer his messages that I have been leaving since last Summer!!! Bob is very arrogant & a bit of a know it all. He brags about his work, etc.  

     One of my close friends rides bicycles in the same bike club with this mechanic guy Bob. I asked him where the h*** Bob is? He doesn't answer my calls for the last 2 months. My friend tells me that Bob is gone away on vacation for months at his daughters in New England! He goes away to his daughter's house in New England for months at a time & just leaves his customers in the lurch for months!!! He doesn't answer his calls & is just GONE!! He just falls of the face of the earth! He has done this TWICE to me in the past few years. My car has been apart in his garage for YEARS! I can see it thru the window. And Bob is NEVER there when I show up...the place is always empty. My car is in pieces behind locked doors & he is up in New England somewhere for months at a time!

    When I first went to him for service 2+ years ago...Bob told me that of some of his customers coming to complain that he takes WAY too long with their cars & that they were angry with him. He thought that it was rather hilariuos. Then he explained to me that he is very good at what he does & if you want the best...you've got to expect to wait a little while for it. And I actually thought that he may be right. It made sense to me that you may have to wait a little while to get your car back from a good German vehicle specialist that is in such demand. But then it turned into a year...then TWO...then THREE!!!

    At first I left the car in the early Spring of 2010. Bob had it up there for about a few months He did the repairs listed above & I paid him for those repairs with $1110.00 Then he suggested he could a few more things if I like. Like new front brakes, front wheel bearings & maybe repair a leaky header? So I figured it would be good to get the entire car done right by such a qualified guy.(Bob KNOWS his German cars.) So it was worth it to me to get it all done now. So as the Summer progressed, Bob was not done. Then he dissapeared for a few months. He didn't answer his calls. I later found out he was at his daughter's house in New England doing repairs for her. Finally in the Fall he came back & said he could do the repairs over Winter for me. So I figured that I could just leave it over Winter...because it is my Summer Sports car. It was too late to drive it now anyway. Bob assured me it would be done by early Spring in April or May of 2011. So why not let him get it all done over the Winter & I'll get it fresh & ready to go next Spring. So I agreed to let Bob have it over Winter, for the next 5 months.

     When I returned the following Spring of 2011...he had taken the wheels & rotors off & just stopped working. The car was sitting in the middle of his garage on a rolling rack with no wheels on it. I asked him when he'd be done & he said he'd call me. He actually DID call me once to tell me that he'd write up a bill for me. Then he disappeared again! I started calling him in June & he never answered ANY of his messages for MONTHS!!!  I found out thru our mutual friend that Bob was out of town on vacation again for months. So the second Summer went by without any word from Bob the mechanic. Now it's been another Winter too. And we are now into year number THREE!!!

    This is not just ME. There are a number of other cars all sitting there in pieces. This guy just does as he pleases & could give a *&*^$ about any of us. Good ol' Bob is counting on the fact that all of us can't network & get together to do something about his little empire up there in Hop Bottom. He feels perfectly fine with all of this. He thinks it's normal for us all to wait YEARS for our cars! He has this little garage/biz on his property way out there in Hop Bottom. it's hard to get out there & try to catch him when he won't answer the phone. One day I snuck up there...& when I got there...he must've heard me. His stuff was all running but he never came back. Maybe he was hiding in the woods!?!  And it is impossible to get your car out of there!

     I recently asked our mutual bike friend if Bob is back from vacaton yet. He said yes. And he said he asked Bob WHY he doesn't answer my calls...& why he won't give me a call with any charges that I might have to pay, so I can go over & get my car back. And Bob says to him, "No Money...No Car". Now Bob is BLAMING ME! Saying that I owe him $$$ for repairs that he hasn't even finished yet! I told our mutual friend that I have been TRYING to pay Bob for over a YEAR! But he never answers his calls & he is never there at his garage when I go there on numerous occasions.

    All I want to do now is to recover my car. I don't care if it is finished. I left messages with Bob to just button up the car & I'll pay him whatever the fee is to just get my car back from his little Funny Farm/Repair shop up there. I don't even care if it is running. I'll bring up a roll back tow truck & get it out of there. But I can't get him on a phone or catch him at his property out in Hop Bottom!
