When Erik Rubin from Pillar to Post Home Inspector notices a leak running in a toilet during his inspection, he does not bother himself to close the toilet faucet or main water line or even to let the homeowner know, he lets the water go at the expense of the homeowner to meet his “standards”!

"Hi Amir, As we discussed via email, as a Home Inspector, I am bound by certain standards of practice. I can only report what I see at the time of inspection and deliver that report to my client, who is the owner of the report. I cannot attempt to make any repairs, as I am not licensed or authorized to do so, or share my finding with anyone other than my client and anyone they specifically authorize me to share it with. The leak was present during the time of inspection, was noted in the report and that report was given to my client and their real estate agent, as the client requested, and then it seems you were given a copy as well, which is their prerogative, but I cannot personally share my findings with anyone but my client.
