Vanwyckhouse Construction

Our old outdoor fireplace was made from stacked stones. Every year it would fall down and we would have to rebuild it. I contacted VanWyckhouse Construction, (Gavin Van Wyckhouse), to see if they could take down the old fire pit and build us a new one. Gavin came up with a fantastic design. It's almost dry and I can't wait for our lighting ceremony this Labor Day Weekend! He did an amazing job. We needed something functional. Just what we wanted, and a great design idea too. I might even have a metal grill made for the top so we can cook on it. Awesome quality work!

Gavin put in much time to understand the project, our needs and desires and suggested viable alternatives to meet our budget. He gave us a time line and in spite of his challenges managed to finish the job on time and on budget. While this is remarkable in itself, where Gavin shines is in the quality of his work and his work ethic. He and his crew worked full days including weekends and treated the house with respect and care. They cleaned up before leaving every evening and we could not be happier with the work performed. He is intelligent, dependable and an excellent carpenter and we look forward to having him back soon. As stated before, we recommend Vanwyckhouse Construction unreservedly.
