The tree I received looks nothing like a Grand Fir. It never would have sold for near the amount of the "original price" of $289.
I emailed the company because I was sure they'd sent the wrong tree and I wanted the one in the picture. They informed me I just had to fluff the branches because their trees are shipped in a compressed stage. Listen, I could fluff away for a year and this bush will never look like the Grand Fir they told me I was buying. The strands of lights are hanging loosely, and there are not 250 of them. The branches are sparse and there is nothing realistic about this tree.
I feel this is a classic "bait and switch" scheme and deceptive advertising. Even though the picture in the description was not the actual tree, it's not even close to the tree they sent me. It's like my going to a dog breeder and buying a Great Dane, but coming home with a Chihuahua. True, they're both dogs, but in reality neither would ever be mistaked for the other.
I want a 6' Grand Fir pre-lit tree that truly looks like it is worth $200. I don't want a tree that looks like a $29.99 tree at Big Lots.
