"We apologize for any inconvenience your rescheduled installation has caused. We do make all clients aware that all schedule dates are weather and project permitting - delays with weather and projects are unexpected. We try our best to accommodate all clients with dates that work best for their particular schedule, we do not encourage cancelling appointments/work since delays sometime occur without adequate notice, if a more convenient date would have worked better for your schedule we would have been happy to assist with a weekend install if you prefered. End of year scheduling is very challenging with winter weather conditions closing in, we work diligently to complete these end of year projects. We are happy we were able to professionally complete your installation, we appreciate your business!"
When they did the repair work, my husband was shocked to hear that they never came into the house to check the leaks in our attic. He wondered how they knew where to do the repair, but we foolishly didn't question it, thinking they had an idea from the day they did the estimate. After the repair, the roof continued to leak, and I phoned them because, even though there was no warranty, I thought they would stand behind the work they had done and would follow up with us. The woman in the office told me they would call and set up an appointment in the future, but never did. That is $700 we'll never see again.
"To whom this concerns, We completed a service call/repair at the customer's property back in July of 2012, a repair in which we did not offer a warranty with, which was listed directly on the contract in which Mrs. Weir signed with us. This repair option was a option #2 listed on the contact, with entire roof replacement listed as the 1st option. We had made the customer aware that her entire roof system was in poor condition (roof system approx. 18-20yrs old) with several issues being visible to the eye, we quoted repair work for her budget as an attempt to stop the several leaking issues she was having. She did choose the repair work rather then entire roof replacement on July 18th,2012 . The repair work was completed on July 31st, 2012 we had no calls to our office for any issues for nearly 4mos. until approx. 3weeks after the hurricane Sandy storm, which caused major wind and rain for the pocono region. When she had contacted us we had explained to her the work performed was not under warranty due to the condition of the entire roof system, which we had originally discussed with Mrs. Weir was needed. A repair is only a temporary fix and never a guaranteed fix which is why our company states "No Warranty Available" directly on the information given to our customers. This particular roof system is approx. 38sq which is a fairly large roof system with several signs of aging, replacement is indefinite. The small repair we conducted was replacement of 3-5 missing shingles, installation of 2 pipe cover flashings and to roof cement any visible nail pops visible. All of the work listed on the contract was completed, with no warranty available. The entire roof replacement carries a 10yr labor warranty along with a manufacturers warranty. We would be more than happy to send someone to make other recommendations and go over photographs of the condition of this roof system. We are a reputable business that stands behind our work, in this case unfortunately we did not install a complete roof system, again we would be happy to visit the property and take another look, maybe there are new visible issues from the storm in which the homeowners insurance may assist. We appreciate the customer's business!"
