Evergreen Chimney

First off, they gave me a low quote. So I went them, and by the end, it was twice the amount of what I was quoted. I had an old propane fireplace and decided to convert it to a wood stove insert. The owner offered me a few choices. So when I chose one of the choices she gave me, after the insert showed up, the workers had no way to lift it and install it (due to the weight of it). Fortunately, I had other work going on at the house to where we had a Bobcat (with forks) and those construction workers agreed to help these workers from Evergreen Chimney....which is completely not their job! So these workers from this company showed up unprepared! Then the workers from Evergreen Chimney told me they never installed a blower for this insert before. So my immediate question was "then why did you sell this to me?!" So they charged me to install it and the blower (electrical work), but to this very day, does not work. I paid thousands of dollars to have a wood stove insert with a blower, and

I feel like I got low-balled on the quote. And I kept getting blind-sided by more and more money for things that I found that should not have been that expensive.

I hired Evergreen Chimney to repair my chimney and install lining and a cap. Kyle did the work. I went on my roof a few days after the work was completed to inspect and was very disappointed at what I saw. Not only was the chimney poorly repaired/plastered, but debris from the work that was done was left on my roof. I have the pictures to show the poor work, but unfortunately, I cannot upload them to this review. When I called Stacy to remedy the situation I was met with nothing but excuses. I am dissatisfied with the work that was done and the ensuing response especially since I paid a significant amount of money for the repairs.

Scheduling was a little chaotic but Kyle was great, knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything and they were very responsive.

I used Evergreen Chimney to do my cleaning , I was so impressed with Kyle's Knowledge and his willingness to explain things I requested a Quote to Crown and repair my aging Chimney . That job to was completed with the professionalism I received during the cleaning . The job was done 100% to my satisfaction . I will calling them back next year for my Annual cleaning.

I hired this company for 2 jobs: Chimney cleaning and chimney pointing. I negotiated with an owner $50 discount for each job. The owner refused to provide with discount for pointing when kid was done. Very disappointed. The owner is rude and unprofessional.

A great experience! He arrived exactly on time, explained everything that he would be doing, did a thorough job and was very friendly. And the price was very reasonable. I am very satisfied with Evergreen!

We received an estimate a few days ago, we hired Evergreen to do the job on repointing our chimney. Kyle explained thoroughly what needed to be done. He arrived at our home at the time he said with his helper Zac. They did an efficient and thorough job. We are well pleased and would recommend them without any reservation.

They did a fireplace to wood burning stove conversion for us late in 2019. They originally suggested doing it one way but when the time came to physically do the work, they changed course and recommended a cheaper alternative. We think they either got busy or underpriced the original estimate. The unit got very little use until the Fall of 2020 and we realized it was not producing the heat we were expecting. We decided to bring in two separate experts and both said the same thing: 1. that the work was not done to code 2. the installation represented a safety hazard. Both suggested that the wood burning stove not be used until changes were made 3. That the set up could never have worked using the stove they recommended. In other words this is a mess requiring us to start back to square one. The sad part is the woman in the office was pleasant and reliable and the owner and his assistant appeared to know what they were doing. The red flag should have been when they did a 180 when it came time to do the work. Most people like ourselves rely on experts and we learned a costly lesson. These are not experts.

Got a price over the phone. When he finally showed up a couple of hours late, he quoted me 3 different prices for very bad reasons. I had him do the work anyway because it is hard to get people to show up. I wrote him a check and he had the nerves to suggest a tip. NEVER AGAIN!

Wanted chimney inspection and cleaned. They raised their prices from $150 to $175 because o COVID-19. I though that was unusual, but they came out when others were too busy.

Do not use them. They do what they want to do, not what you pay them to do. Worst customer service ever. Asked for an inspection of 2 fireplaces and got a clean and sweep.
