"Thank You! I really appreciate all my customers, but a great report is most welcome."
"He was a pleasure to work for, like most of my customers."
"Pretty nasty to accuse a man of intentionally slowing down to overcharge...A man asks for an estimate for the work to be done. The work changes. The price is properly adjusted. I have never seen a customer take continous notes like this one. We had 3 areas of work, 2 baths and one kitchen. He constantly interupted me and took me from 1 area to another. Interesting that he neglects to mention that he never talked about cost until after all the electrical and plumbing and carpentry was roughed in. Before the last check I was only giving him requests for money based on materials and time spent he never complained about the amounts. At that point he made a check and fired me on the spot. He told me about his complaints and that he would send this report. Amazing that a guy wanted detailed estimates then wants a time and material job. I rate this customer a F. He acted as a project manager on this job, he should have gone to work and let me do the job in an orderly fashion."
"I feel so good reading this report. I am elated to hear that he had a satisfying contractor experience. I try my best with all customers. Thanks, Bill Gavin"
"The Member is a very nice customer. I am reaaly glad she is happy with the work. Thank You Very Much, Bill Gavin"
"The member had me and my man wait 15 minutes for him to come home. 2 men were at his house for 1.5 hrs and that is what I billed. We replaced the tub/shower valve cartrige and installed a new hand held shower. I provided all the materials. Additionally I reviewed his domestic hot water system which is way over 110 degrees. I gave him a $35.00 discount for a coupon he couldn't print out. I received no complaint until this backstabbing on Angie's List. My rates are listed on my website for all to see."
"The member is a great guy with a nice family. He lives close to me and patiently waited 3 or 4 days for my arrival. Since I went after dinner I was sure glad the repair was simple. I never mind finishing do-it-yourself repairs gone astray. Bill Gavin"
"Why doesn't this report mention that electrical work was also done? I traveled thru 3 feet of snow to fix this lady's leak! I also replaced bad circuit breakers so her house will hopefully not burn down. She needs to replace the Main Electrical Panel and I told her and quoted a price. She said she wanted to replace the Main Circuit Breaker Panel and I spent the time to pick up the needed materials. I called her and she told me she was tied up with a sick daughter. Additional phone calls were never returned. How am I to know she was not satisfied with anything I did? My web site clearly states my fees."
"I appreciate the nice comments. Usually the price falls within the estimate. This time after we chopped the concrete which was thicker than I expected we ran into water just below the concrete. Thick concrete and a water level at the floor sure made it harder than I expected. So a 10% additional charge for 25% more work was certainly warranted. Next time I will certainly put a limit on concrete thickness and I will list expected water table level."
"I find comment truly amazing. This member went to my website where my charges per hour are posted. I went over the bill with him and no negative comment was mentioned. This member did not spend $1000.00 but he did spend $860.00. Work included installing 3 customer furnished lights, rebuilding 2 shower valves, and inspecting roof to locate source of roof leaks. I also reviewed his heating and AC system no charge and provided pictures of roof which he downloaded to his computer. I needed a second person to inspect roof which was included in this charge. This member never complained to me. I am truly surprised."
