Everything went great. Job was finished on time and on budget. Chris was easy to work with, neat and professional. He listened to our wants and special requirements in the beginning and we ended up with a bathroom that looks great and makes our lives easier. We highly recommend Chris Murray Renovations

Chris was a consummate profesional throughout the process. For those aspects where he used sub-contractors, he worked with them very closely. All work was completed according to his very high standards. The project was completed in a timely manner and costs were managed very closely to the original budget. His communication was excellent. We always knew where we stood on the timeline, what next steps would be, and what he needed from us.
While he made the three-month process run very smoothly, the real value of working with him was his creativity and advice. He is truly an artist at heart and made some fantastic suggestions throughout the project. Some related to design elements, but most were just practical. Had we not taken his advice on several things, I do not believe we would be as pleased as we are with the ultimate outcome.
I would highly recommend Chris to anyone considered any type of remodeling job. You won't be disappointed.

Chris communicated with us all along the way to keep us informed of what was going to be done next, who was going to do the work when he used a subcontractor (like the ceramic tile contractor), when to expect them to arrive and about how long it would take. The subcontractors he used were first rate! He was excellent at cleaning up each day and taking away all the trash. He made sure he had the products we had selected, and gave us good advice on what to select. We are very pleased with the results and love our new bathroom! The shower is gorgeous and the tile work couldn't be more lovely! It is everything we wanted and we couldn't be more pleased.

For me the best part of this long and very involved project was coming home from work and checking in with Chris on the progress, asking him questions about the work, learning a great deal from him and just watching him do amazing work I believe Chris is an artist at heart. At various times, I wanted a few changes made and I've heard from lots of people that contractors get miffed about this and ndash; NOT Chris. He is very easy going, and yet extremely hard working. I absolutely enjoyed working with him and found myself wishing the project could have lasted a bit longer, because I enjoyed working with him. [I have a bathroom project that I will only trust with Chris.] My house is an old twin which hasn't had major work done since it was built, it seemed. The project lasted a long time beginning the last week in June and extending well into the fall. After the demolition, Chris constructed a wall that separated the work area (and the elements) from the rest of the house. Since I knew I was going to have this work done, and that it would take a long time, I developed an area in my basement to cook, and we kept the fridge in the dining room until the appliances were hooked up. So even though the work pretty much took over the first floor, I was able to live fairly normally under the circumstances. Probably the most difficult part of it all was having tons of stuff take over my living and dining rooms and ndash; the cabinets and the appliances and my old fridge. After the demolition, it was clear that some major repairs were needed to the roof, and to the area where the hallway-mud room used to be. But what I remember most about this early-post demolition period is Chris working out figures to determine how to shore up a load bearing wall. I was awed at how he did it all, as it required not just figuring out stuff, but also lifting and installing some extremely heavy materials. I completely trusted Chris's judgment from the moment I met him and throughout this project. He works with several subs all of whom were exceptional guys who did exceptional work. Once the drywall was installed, the work moved faster. Dave did the electrical work that included installing the lighting and putting in a upgraded electrical panel; Bill did the plumbing. [He also came over immediately when my hot water heater burst flooding my basement, and replaced it that day.] When the cabinets went in and the dumpster was removed, I got my house back, so to speak, though I still wasn't able to use to the kitchen until the appliances and counters were installed and the painting done. It took quite a while before I felt I could use my beautiful new kitchen and bath and ndash; the new rooms were just too, well, they exceeded my expectations. Chris is a wonderful person, great to work with, even tempered, mild mannered and also pretty funny. He's a lovely guy. His work is extraordinary.

Chris was an extremely nice guy, good workmanship, and responsive. His quote was among the best we got but the best part was that he was willing to work with us on an evolving plan. We were constantly changing plans and we was very willing to change with us. His work was very detailed and we were very satisfied with the final product. The deck came out very nice using IPE, even though he hadn't worked with the material before--we get many complements on it and people ask us for the contractor's name. The only thing with Chris is that he generally works alone so the project might be more drawn out than usual.

Our house is very old and the original bathroom was in dire need of replacement. Chris worked very hard to tear out the old bathroom (down to studs), kept everything tidy, and put in our new bathroom - including all tile work, cabinets, and paint. He did a wonderful job, cleaned up everything, communicated with us regularly about the status, and asked questions before proceeding on items on which he was unclear. He is very easy to work with and is also great with kids (we have a very shy 2-year-old who still asks us about "Mr. Chris-mas").

He was great. He was very honest. I wanted to have him do the job, but he was unable to fit me in as soon as I needed. I may use him for another job in the future.

He worked for almost 3 days along with his assistant to complete the demo. Very old house and original plaster work/tiles/plumbing all needed to be removed. He did a great job of trying to contain the mess. For the rest of the project he worked independently(contracts with a plumber and painter as needed). He cleans up daily and tried to minimize the intrusion into our lives. Everything went smoothly with the exception of a few surprises related to the old house, not his work. Total time about 6 weeks. He does meticulous work and we are thrilled with the final results. He is a very nice person and was easy to have him in our home. He likes kids which helped around our very curious 2 and 4 year olds. He also helped out replacing our microwave that died while he was there without charging us(thanks again!).

Chris does an excellent job, and he hires top-notch people to help with things like flooring, electrical work, painting and outside work. He is professional, pleasant, and courteous to work with. He gave us names of suppliers so that we could pick out our countertops, cabinetry, floor tiles, and appliances, and he even gave us directions to those places and set up appointments for us. At times he "ran interference" for us with these people, urging them to meet our timelines. He also has a very good eye for design and good common-sense ideas about construction. (For example, we discussed skylighting and he convinced us it wasn't worth the future hassels it might entail.) He did all our communicating with our municipality to make sure everything was "up to code" and acceptable to them. Threw in a few "freebies" too! Only caveat is to remember that sometimes things will take longer than you had originally planned for. But the pay-off for this is: we now have a gorgeous kitchen!!!

Chris had great ideas for refinishing our basement economically. In addition the usual drywall, etc., he put in two windows that come out at ground level and put up wainscoting. Both of which make the room seem as if it is not a basement. He also put in a new bathroom in the basement. The plumber he used was also great.

Chris did an excellent job. He brought a lot of his own ideas in to the remodel, which was great because we didn't have an architect. He was very helpful for us in making decisions about what we wanted. He was very neat and clean, and kept the house clean as well. He is a very nice guy, and we enjoyed having him work in our house. He did such a great job, that we've since hired him to do some work in our kitchen, and we will likely use him again in the future to remodel our second bathroom. He even referred us to a great painter who we've used several times as well. He was always very punctual, showed up when he said he would, and did the work in the amount of time he said it would take; he just focused on our job.

He did a fantastic job for us at a very reasonable cost. Both jobs were billed together and was very reasonable. We had a little trouble getting a hold of him sometimes; because he's very busy. it wasn't urgent, so it was worth the wait.

Excellent! I wanted my kitchen to be moved to the breakfast room. Chris designed the kitchen to fit the space, and constructed the kitchen for me. He was able to alleviate my fears, and was patient with my questions/concerns about the project. My phone calls were always returned, even though most of the time Chris and I communicated via voice mail due to my work schedule. Best of all, Chris started the project and followed through in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Chris for any remodeling job. I hope to use him again in the future!

THE COMPANY DID THE ENTIRE JOB PROFESSIONALLY. THE CRAFTSMANSHIP WAS VERY GOOD AND THE WORKERS DID A PROFESSIONAL JOB. THE KITCHEN TURNED OUT JUST AS I WANTED IT TO LOOK.

Very fine. I was really able to work with Chris (who did all the work himself with one helper) and make small changes as the project went forward. He promised the work would be completed by a certain date, and it was. He even came back right away to correct some of the plumbing when we had a small leak.

CHRIS, SHOWED UP ON THE DAY HE STATED HE WOULD BE THERE AND FINISHED THE JOB IN THE TIME FRAME HE HAD COMMITTED. THE WORK WAS HIGH QUALITY AND THERE HAVE BEEN NO ISSUES WITH THE DOOR.
