They did a great job.

I found Pennacchi's to be fair and honest. They were friendly, on time and even did extra work because they had extra material. They even waterproofed my second chimney for free.

Mr. Pennacchi was difficult to get a hold of at first, but once we'd reached the point where I had a proposal & estimate from him, he was pretty easy to reach over the phone. There was a long period between receiving the proposal & paying the deposit, & scheduling the work to be done, because the job could not be completed until the weather warmed up & there was no precipitation. Once scheduled, the job moved very quickly. There was only so much work they could do in one day, because time had to be spent waiting for concrete to set, etc. Overall, the job took about one week to complete, during which time there was a tall scaffolding built against the side of our home by the chimney, & a pile of supplies by the driveway covered with a tarp. Neither my husband nor I actually saw the crew during the job- they arrived after we left for work each morning (by 7 am) & were gone by the time we came home (before 4 pm). All equipment & debris was cleaned up when the job was done.

The experience went well, as expected. This is the second time my husband and I have used Mr. Pennacchi's company. He re-pointed our chimney in November of 2006. The windows look great in our basement and the workmanship looks impeccable. Mr. Pennacchi and his crew take pride in their work. We have more concrete/brickwork that will need to be done when the weather gets warm and I will call on his company again. I like the professionalism exhibited by this company.

The work was superb. Our chimney was old but it seemed ''okay'' to me, until this contractor redid it, replacing defective mortar, etc. They took three days, used scaffolding, and when it was complete I could not believe how beautiful it looked. Even to an untrained eye the work is gorgeous. I am so glad that Mr. Pennacchi was recommended to us by our chimney sweep. He was very professional, punctual, and the work went exactly as he predicted; taking three days. We have other masonry on our home that will have to be done at some point so I will definitely call on his company again. Dealing with a company like this makes doing home repairs or restoration fun. I am still going outside and looking at our chimney and telling our neighbors to look at it because it is Beautiful!!!! THIS is what masonry is supposed to be!
