Wow, what can I say? If you need floors refinished you should call Wayne--he's professional, thorough, skilled in his trade and very pleasant to deal with. He showed up exactly on time to give me a quote and provided the most reasonable estimate of all 3 refinishers I contacted. The floor was extremely old and damaged and he told me up front that he wasn't sure that all the stains would come out 100%. I appreciated his honesty, so I knew what I was dealing with. His work was meticulous (getting under all the radiators) and the floor turned out better than what I ever dreamed it would have (I'd say he was able to remove 95% of the stains). What made it especially nice was that Wayne took pride in his work and it was obvious that it made him happy to see me so pleased with the floors. He finished exactly on time. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again.

We moved into an older home with hardwood floors that needed refinishing. We contacted 3 members on Angie's list and choose Wayne because he was the lowest price. He did a fabulous job. We have radiator heat which he worked around meticulously and also fixed flooring in several spots. He was prompt, polite, and finished in the timeframe he gave us. We are very pleased and would highly recommend him.

Mr. Myers provided a written quote promptly, along with 3 other hardwood flooring contractors I picked from from Angies List. All were and quot;Aand quot; rated in all categories and all had very good written recommendations. I felt at ease with all of them during the house visit to provide the quote, so I could have worked with any one of them. Additionally they all had about the same backlog time of 3 - 4 weeks to start, if selected. Therefore my decision was rather easy and going forward was based on and quot;lowest price.
Myers had the lowest price by a good margin. His total price for all the work was $3,660.
Myers provided an insurance certificate, as requested and showed up to start the job promptly at the time and day promised. We had moved all furniture out of the dining room prior to his arrival, although he indicated that they could do it, but I wanted them to get started. Myers does all the work himself with one helper. First day they took out all carpeting and padding from hallway and dining room and removed it to the garage area prior to trash pickup. They inspected the flooring and re-nailed (with a air power hammer) all plywood flooring. As the spindles on the circular staircase were never glued/nailed in place, he hand removed each to better refinish the staircase flooring. The second day they installed all the hardwood flooring in hallway and dining room and sanded. They took care to and quot;seal offand quot; other rooms with plastic sheeting taped around doorway opening to prevent sanding dust. There was not as much dust as I thought, but there was a small film generated from the power sanding....this is unavoidable when having non-pre-finished hardwood installed. They applied the stain after sanding the flooring and the staircase. On the third day they applied two more coats of polyurethane and one more on the last day.
Each day at the end of the work day they cleaned up and left the place as clean as possible. They arrived around 7AM and worked until 3-4 PM, taking about 1/2 hour for lunch.
Myers brought samples of stain for us to consider, and we picked two. On the day he installed the hardwood, he stained two areas, prior to sanding, so we could see a larger view of the color. That was a very good thing to do, as the one we liked, after seeing it on the floor compared to the other one, we chose the other one. Myers actually like the one we eventually chose but he let us make up our minds by suggesting we see a sample of it on the floor. Also we had thought we wanted a and quot;high glossand quot; finish but Myers cautioned against it, as provided those same stained sample areas with the semi gloss and high gloss finish...we chose the and quot;semi gloss...Myers was right again!!
He finished the work on-time and without any workmanship problems and we are very happy with the results!!
We definately will use Myers in the future for additional hardwood flooring we are considering and would highly recommend him to others!!
