HOBENSACK'S LANDSCAPE SERVICES

1st, the Contractor returned my initial call promptly and scheduled a convenient time (he was very accommodating) to come out to provide a free quote for the Project.

2nd, the Quotation Process went very well. Jason Hobensack (Owner) arrived on time at the preset appointment time. He carefully reviewed the prospective Project giving multiple options and recommendations for completion (ranging from Full Removal w/ and w/o stump removal to Trim / Cut options) (as well as per tree and whole job quotes). Jason was very friendly, very professional, and very knowledgeable, He happily answered all my questions and volunteered a lot of tree care solutions / info. pertaining to the job at hand (other Quoting Contractors for this job were not nearly as helpful). At the time of the Quote, I asked him with regards to his Insurance Coverage and happily verbally described his Coverage and then immediately called his Insurance Broker for Verification Documents to be sent to me either via email or by way of him dropping it off the next day if I wished,...I chose email. I received a copy of his Insurance from his Broker the next day via email. He was Fully Covered (Liability, Vehicles, and Worker's Comp) as he noted in our conversation (at least one other Quoting Contractor was not fully covered w.r.t. Worker's Comp).

3rd, the Service Appointment went very well. Jason (Owner) arrived on time with 2 team members. Jason and the Team went right to work and worked at a good pace until completion with no breaks. During the job, Jason noted to me that the 'sunny' sides of the White Pine Tree needed some additional trimming / cutting to promote proper tree growth, to satisfy visual aesthetics, and overall even branch distribution. I agreed and he did this Additional Minor Work at no charge. He also noted that some lower branches (20ft. and down) were potential future problems but asked me first I wanted them cut or if I would rather keep as is for privacy... he was reading my mind....leave them for privacy. These Q an A's (in addition to the whole professional and friendly process described above) show me that he truly cares about the Job, the Client, and the Trees. All work and cleanup was performed beyond my satisfaction and if I may say...perfection! Jason was happy to accommodate a small Add-on to the job as long as time permitted which in my case it did.

Additional Notes: This is a Family Business and Jason is partnered with his brother Jeff. They do Full Tree Service and Landscaping, etc.. I used Angie's List, BBB, as well as other neighbor / friend recommended Contractors in my Selection Process. I have repeatedly given out this Contractor Contact Info. and my related experience to multiple neighbors, friends, and acquaintances. I thoroughly research a Project [Contractors, Costs, Charges, and associated Business Related Matters (Insurance, etc.), etc.] so I can be as well informed as possible. Furthermore, it should be noted that I am not an 'A' giving person with the exception of for Outstanding Work done...which in this case it was. This Rate and Review is my first, and is being done a year later due to personal and family business that consumed all of my time until now. There will be numerous other Contractor Quotations and Project Reviews from a multitude of Specialties in the following months (and let's just say several+ will not be rated close to this level of work).

Very honest and performed only the work that was necessary. We thought we had trees that needed to be removed but they said it wasn't necessary. The did a great job of trimming and pruning our many and various trees. They also cut our lawn on an as needed basis as opposed to an every week basis.
