Catering Service
HOWEVER, after the meal, as guests got up to dance, a wedding guest informed me the very young catering staff was breaking down the tables. When guests got back from dancing, they were sitting at bare wooden tables. All my expensive flower arrangements and table linens were being dumped on a table along the side of the room. When I told one of the workers this was unacceptable (he looked about 15 years old), he just shrugged. I told him to reassemble the tables, but by then, guests were leaving because the reception appeared to be over. I was crushed. I spent so much time and money on the appearance of the tables, I couldn't believe it. The staff clearly just wanted to get out of there. In addition, a several things disappeared from the venue that belonged to us. Catering staff were the only ones there, but they said they knew nothing about it. It was several expensive vases -- not a huge deal, but after them all but chasing us out of our own reception, it mattered more. Great food. Terrible service/professionalism. What a disappointment.
