I trust Steve Borne to tell the truth about home repair.  If it doesn't need to be done, he tells you.  I've worked with Steve almost the entire 25 years I've owned my home.  I'd had two very different estimates for work on my chimney (work I didn't even know needed done until one company I hired to clean the chimney told me I needed a $2100 service).  Steve came out, reviewed the two estimates and looked at the chimney.  He told me to call back and schedule one of his service guys to check rust, flashing and other issues that might need dealt with. 
When you get them, the people at Total Home Care are exceptional service people of all trades.  But getting phone calls returned and actually getting work scheduled is the most difficult part of working with the company.

In an effort to avoid any surprises down the road, I had a home inspection done prior to putting my house on the market.  I presented Steve with the report to determine how much of it he could do and how much it would cost.  Steve is very knowledgeable about all areas of home repair and he was very frank about what really NEEDED to be done v. what was bogus.  He presented me with an estimate that was extremely reasonable.  He scheduled a time to complete the work, showed up when he was supposed to and completely the work in a timely manner.  He is extremely courteous and professional and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
