Re-Inventing Spaces by Linda

I had another designer come and help me choose a paint color.  When the painting was done I didn't like it at all.  I contacted Linda based on her reviews on Angie's List and I was not disappointed.  She helped me to choose a color more to my liking and advised me about which walls should be repainted.  It was apparent to me that she is cautious to take the customer's preferences into consideration.

I was really stumped when the new colors I had chosen for my kitchen and adjoining back hall clashed with my sage green countertops. Now the counters looked BLUE against the apple green paint! UGH! I tried other colors but nothing was right. I had seen a review for Linda on HOUZZ and on a blog so I e-mailed her. She responded quickly and we set a date after a brief discussion of my project and her consultation fees. We agreed on a 2hr. consult for $150. She arrived on time,with an assistant, ready to look, listen and give advice. I described the look I wanted to tie the spaces together and where the new colors weren't working. Linda pulled out her paint fanbooks and other color tools and showed me where we needed to look on the color wheel. Colors I had not considered initially because they were rather conservative and I was sure they weren't right. Linda was able to show me the colors that would tie everything together and where to use " my colors" for accent areas. She didn't try to change the color scheme I had originally chosen . She just guided me to the choices that would work. I love lots of color but choosing from a tiny paint chip can be disastrous for me. I love my new kitchen colors. Linda gave me advice on color placement and saved me the time and stress of painting and re-painting the wrong colors. I would definitely use her services again.

Linda arrived for the initial consultation and we again discussed my preferences and goals for her consultation.  Linda brought an entire pallet of colors with her.  She was able to assist me in selecting color that worked with each room and its contents.  During this process, it became clear as to which color shades would be best and would also provide the most unity, balance and flow between rooms.  Since she is also a profession home stager ,she was also able to suggest some minor changes that would help in selling our house should we decide to do so. During the consultation Linda was able to alleviate any doubts and the feeling of,
" I'm not sure."   She helped me express my own sense of style and love for color, while keeping in mind what the trends in the  real estate market.  Linda also recommended some excellent painter and carpenter contractors.  They also were top-notch.  After the work was completed she stopped by to see the painting and a few of the updates. We were extremely pleased with the results.

I think that I pretty much described above that we had a very wonderful working arrangement. She kept appointments w/ me even when she had an injury & her mother had to drive her; that was real dedication to me & to my project! I will call Linda whenever I need any expertise in my field.

Linda literally transformed my mother's house from cluttered and mismatched to chic and market-ready! The house sold in less than a day. Linda went above and beyond and I'd recommend her to anyone wanting to sell their house for more money!

Linda was so responsive and timely with her return calls and showing up for appointments, a big plus in my book. She has connections with companies who can provide materials and services at great prices and do great work. She came totally prepared for what we had talked about over the phone so decisions could be made in one visit. I look forward to working with her on more projects around our home.

I bought a house that really needed updating (think 80's wallpaper and linoleum) and had Linda come over and help me choose paint, wood floors, tile for the kitchen and entryway and carpet colors.  She was fantastic at listening to the colors that I wanted and helping me choose a color pallet that made the house cohesive and reflect my personality.  She was equally good at matching bold colors and muted colors for different areas of the house.  Linda was great with follow-up, contractor recommendations and even choosing better products for our needs.  She is one of those business owners who takes pride in her work and values relationships. I would definitely use her in the future.

I worked with another decorator in the past and had a terrible experience. I'm so glad I took a chance on Linda. I loved working with her! On top of being a great decorator with an eye for color, she's detail oriented, pays attention to your budget and timeline, makes sure the work you agreed to is on track and shops for accessories or anything else you need for your rooms. She makes the decorating process easy and affordable. I found her very accessible if I had any questions. I never added up all of my receipts but I think the price I put in above is what it cost for her time only. I think what I liked best is that I'm a busy professional and she really made sure that I got the end result in the time I needed it by. I wouldn't have been able to do that myself. Plus my rooms are gorgeous! I love them so much!!! 

We recently moved into our home in Mechanicsburg. ?Linda helped us pick paint colors throughout the house. ?She asked for pictures of things I loved, came prepared with several paint swatches and, once in the house, did a great job of coordinating with existing woodwork. ?I was pleased with the outcome and enjoyed the process so much so that I hired her to help me restyle the living room. Linda came while my husband was at work. When he walked in the door, he took one look at the "restyled" room, got a big smile on his face and said "wow" several times. ?Linda managed to get more furniture into the room while making it look less packed and having it function better! I would hire Linda again and recommend her to others.

She was awesome.  Came to our home at prearranged time as she said she would.  A very pleasant, professional young woman.  She brought tools to help us go through various colors to come up with a pleasing color pallet for the walls and trim in our bedroom, to give us the restful, peaceful sanctuary we were looking for..  It was amazing how easy it was for her to bring out the perfect colors for us.  We are so impressed how easy it was for her to pull out colors we liked for our walls.  She asked us question regarding our likes and dislikes and gently guided us to making choices that would give us what we were looking for.  She actually listened to what we wanted and didn't want.  This was basically a re-design where we painted walls and used what furniture and bedding we already had.  Not only did she work with our color choices, she included the items we planned to reuse to save us money.  Wonderful job!
We love the colors she helped us choose.  They are warm and inviting and very pleasing to look at.  I will use Linda again for remaining rooms in our home that  we plan to redecorate.  Both my husband and myself feel it was well worth the money to have Linda help us with the color choices.  Neither of us like to paint, so we wanted to get it done right the first time and not to have the time and expense of repainting until we go what we were looking for. 
Highly recommend Linda's work and work ethic.  You won't regret it.
