PHILLIPS CONTRACTING

In 2004 we went through Home Depot to order and install a new front door for our home. Phillips Contracting was sent to do the work. We were pleased with the job so we requested their business card and then hired them 2 years later to install a sliding patio door. The job required cutting through a brick wall and re-bricking a portion. The worker doing the masonery did not match up the mortar and used regular gray (cement colore) mortar which was a blaring contrast to the creamy white that the rest of our home has. I did not notice this until I came out to see the completed job. When I mentioned it to Mr. Philips he was apologetic and assured me that they would figure out how to fix it. They sent somebody a few weeks later to look and he said that if they chipped away and removed the offending grey, it would damage the brick and we would have a bigger problem - needing new bricks that would NOT match the rest of the house. The mortar would be right but then the bricks would be off. He recommeded painting the mortar to match. They would be back to do the job. That was the last I saw of them. For two years I called and left messages (over 2 dozen) ... and NO ONE EVER RETURNED MY CALL. I also emailed them. NOTHING I have no idea why they would leave this undone and have such disregard for my business (and my house!)
