Had a large selection of remnants available which really cut down on the price. We were replacing carpeting in my daughter's room who is no longer living at home. Did not want to spend a lot of money on a room that would not often be used. They were helpful in making an appropriate selection. They came out an measured the room and also gave me an estimate on restretching carpeting in another room. They came on time, were very professional, and answered all my questions. The day of installation they again showed up on schedule they moved all the furniture, laid the carpet, put all the furniture back the new carpet looks great and I am very happy with the restretch job they did. They left my house clean.

May 7 The salesman Doug Kepler measured the area and said that we needed two boxes of tiles to do the area. He said he needed to order two boxes just in case they needed a tile from the second box so we wouldn't have to order another and take a chance of them not matching. He charged us for 49 sq ft and the area is only 25 sq ft. We agreed to this thinking we would tile our small bathroom with the extra tiles.

May 27 The installer  did a good job. EXCEPT that the tiles did not match and he said that there were no extra tiles.  I called Doug on May 28. I told him about the tiles not matching and that we had no extra tiles. He said he would come over the next day but didn't show. I called again and he apologized saying he was busy. He came over June 4 and brought the extra tiles and looked at the floor. He agreed that the tiles didn't match and said he would contact Armstrong for a refund.
June 13 I called again asking for an estimated time that we could expect the tiles to be fixed. He said he got the refund for the tiles and would schedule the job soon.  I asked if I would be getting a refund for the extra box of tiles. He told me no. He said he didn't ask for that since he could use my extra box of tiles to fix the job.
June 14 I called Steve McDonald and told him I wanted a refund for the bad box of tiles. He said he would look into it.
June 19  I wrote a letter to Mr McDonald explaining that I had a credit card dispute pending and would have to file it by June 28 if the job was not done before that.
June 25 the job was done. I closed my dispute with the credit card company but have not received any tiles or a refund. I paid for two boxes and only got one.
I have had carpet installed several times from M & Z and they did a great job.
I will never do business with M & Z again. They do not handle problems well.

The test of a good company is how they handle a problem and M & Z failed. I have been doing business with M & Z since 1975. They always did a good job and have quality products. This is the first time I had a problem.
May 7th the sales manager measured and told me I needed to purchase  two boxes of tiles for the job. I paid for 49 sf for a 25 sf area. I agreed and asked if the remaining tiles could be used in my bathroom. He said that could be done but I may have to order another box and they may not match exactly but that could work in the bathroom by hiding any that didn't match in areas not seen.
May 27th the job was done. It was done nicely except that after the installer left I noticed the tiles did not match. Seven of the fifteen tiles were gray. I called the sales manager and he asked me if I was sure and I assured him that I was sure and so were several other people who looked at it. He finally came over on June 4th and agreed that the tiles were different. He said he would have to get a refund from Armstrong before the job could be done over.
June 13 he called and said he could set up the job and he was going to use the tan blocks and replace the gray ones with the ones from my extra box. I asked if I was getting a refund for the bad box of tiles he said no. He then said that Armstrong was not refunding for the tiles just the job. I argued that I paid for two boxes and was getting only one box. He said he would pay for the seven tiles that didn't match out of his personal checking account. I hung up and called the regional manager and he said I should have gotten two new boxes from Armstrong and he would check into it. I heard nothing back for two days and sent a letter to the regional manager saying that I was going to dispute the charge with my credit card company if it wasn't fixed by June 28th.
June 26th the floor was fixed and  the installer said they were going to order me a new box of tiles. I wanted a refund but I guess this is better than nothing. I only wanted what I paid for.

I am going to take them back to court for a emergency stay order
I would never use them again since they are liars.

Up date
It seems that McDonalds lied on a court document and the Judge Dismissed the case and I dont owe them a dime. Nor did they take my care, Also the DA is looking into this That McDonald lied also a sheriffs report stating that he is an attorney .... I have my car and the rug is out of my home. I would Never buy even a tack from M&Z....

Every thing was done in a professional manner from the sales staff showing and recommending the style and color of the carpet and then came by the house and took all the measurements and gave me a price.  The installation was scheduled and the installers arrived on time and finished the work in one day.

The people at M and Z were happy to cut our stair runners and finish the edges from a piece of carpet we had purchased at another retailer. They were made to the correct size. They look great on our stairs since we were able to get exactly what we wanted.
