I dropped off 6 sport shirts ($60) and 9 dress shirts ($180) early June 2015 for Lina to alter.  My request was to taper the shirts from the armpit area to the waist in order to make them fit better - I'm slim and typically buy form fitting clothes or ones that accentuate my v-shape. She measured me with a few shirts and we agreed to pull the shirts in 2 inches on both sides to create a slimmer look.
So I pick up the first order of the short sleeve shirts the first week of July and tried them on at her shop.  I could barely tell that anything was done to them since they were still baggy around my midsection.  I asked her what happened and she said that she took them in as I requested.  I've owned these shirts for years and know how they fit, so I could tell nothing changed.  Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I took the shirts home wondering what if anything she did. The stitching on the sides of the shirts looked different, but yet the shirts weren't any slimmer so it was frustrating.
I spoke to Lina specifically about the remaining long sleeve dress shirts and reiterated my desire to have them slimmed down. She nodded and said no problem.  I returned today 8/7 to pick them up but was on my way to work and couldn't try them on in her shop. I just tried them all on and I'm disappointed once again. Out of the 9 shirts altered, only 2 actually seemed like anything was done to them.  I don't know if it's an age or language barrier issue, but I just don't think she understood what I wanted done to the shirts.  She's a pleasant lady and all, but I will not return to her shop. If she didn't understand me after 2 different conversations, why would I believe she would if I go back again?  Now I have to take all 15 shirts to another tailor to have them altered correctly.  What a waste of time and money.

Lina was very helpful and professional. She took the job even though she had an upcoming trip overseas that was approaching fast. She finished the work beautifully and on time, and we were satisfied completely.

We took the jacket in on a Tuesday, and she had it finished the following Monday. Very happy with cost, the time it took to do the work and the quality of the work. My daughter is much happier with the jacket!

I needed a prom dress hemmed for my daughter the day before the prom. I called her on Wednesday night and she said to bring the dress in the next morning at 9:00 am. I brought the dress in and she had it done by the end of the day. She was very nice and I was thrilled to find someone to do a rush job at a reasonable price. I had gone to Hollywood cleaners earlier in the week and they wanted to charge me 60.00 to 75.00. They couldn't even give me a definite price. I will definitely use Lina's for all my alterations in the future!!!!

I needed a large round table cloth cut from a good quality felt fabric I had in the house.
I selected Lina's Alterations Shop from Angie's List, and contacted her for an appointment. Lina quoted me a reasonable price, and promised completion in about a week's time. When the work was ready, she called me for pickup.
The workmanship of the table cloth was good, and I was very pleased with the way it turned out. Lina was always very courteous and polite during my dealings with her.
I will recommend Lina's Shop to anyone who needs these kind of services.

Lina did an excellent job. She got the job done in a timely manner and the pattern was matched and the drapes were even.
