The first job of installing the faux wall went very well. Jason was very fast and punctual with completing the work. He cut out the cabinet tops at no charge, even though I asked him for a quote and offered to pay, although this job proved painful and had to be redone several times in order for the cooktop and sink to fit properly. The roof getting done took longer for the job to get started (about a week to a week and a half). He left the garage a mess for over a month without cleaning up. There was glass and trash from the job all over my garage. He also left trash piled up outside of my garage. When he repaired the molding on an interior door, he did not replace the entire piece, and cracked the glass dormer window in the process. He did not do any finish work like caulking and left huge gaps between the wall and molding. He was contracted to handle 2 cabinets and install crown molding on all kitchen cabinets in October, and said he would do it "on a rainy day". He did not show up for 2 months and became defensive when questioned about it, saying "He gave me a good deal and cheap price." I guess in his view that means he can treat you like the lowest class of customer and take months to complete your job, even after you pay him a deposit up front. He later said he would finish the job "at no cost", but he didn't really finish it. He only did some of it- I guess what he thought was worth his time and so that he didn't lose as much money. He never gave me my key back and I had to spend more money to have the locks changed. I will also have to spend more money to find another contractor to finish the job, and have the window repaired.
