During course of conversation with electrician I learned local building codes require hardwired smoke detectors installed before home can be put on market for sale. He even took a few extra minutes to look what I thought might be a serious problem with my circuit braker panel. The result was piece of mind to learn there was no problem.
Description of Work: Replaced 220 volt outlet and dryer cattail cord that had burned.

 + -1 moreEverything went well. I got an estimate in about a week. Tom and Tim answered all my questions and explained everything. They gave me a couple of options on what type of transfer switch I could buy and gave me estimates on both. They worked with me to get a good date to do the work. They showed up on time and worked most of the day. They did a very nice job of installing the transfer switch in the wall and the wiring was neatly done. When they finished the installation, they explained how to operate the transfer switch and tested the system with the generator running to make sure everything was working properly. Again, everything went well and I highly recommend JS Mixon.
Description of Work: JS Mixon installed a generator transfer switch so I could use my portable generator to power my home when the electricity was out. They also repaired my electric meter box which had been pulled off the side of my house.

 + -1 moreCompany was very good at communication and coordination with us and the power company. All work was performed in a timely manner and for once our tenants couldn't even find anything to complain about re: the job. Everything was cleaned up neatly. Great work gentlemen!
Description of Work: Company replaced a 40 year old 10 gang meter box and 400 amp disconnect as well as an outside service riser on a 9 unit apartment building. They worked straight from 7AM to 9PM to ensure tenants' service was interrupted as little as possible.
