Badly. He had to be watched like a hawk which is hard to do given work schedules. He was to cut out the old mortar to 3/4 inches deep prior to starting to re-point. Time after time I had to show him small and large areas where his prep work was not adequate, that is, where he did not cut it out to 3/4 inches. He always promised next time it would all be 3/4 inches and then next time I'd look I'd show him the 5, 6, 7 areas where it was not. He did not put up protective covers for windows and sills to keep the new excess mortar off after being asked repeatedly to do so. Pressure washing exposed areas where he re-pointed right over the old mortar without prepping and his assistant "Charles" became belligerent and started slamming the ladder around. In many areas he cut into the bricks and had to be told that that was not acceptable and new bricks would be needed. Basically, he tried to get away with as much as he could and had to be watched constantly when and if that was possible.
Description of Work: Re-pointing the bricks at the rear of my house in Midtown Harrisburg.
