The store is very nice and the used furniture is generally excellent quality and mostly as new. I was thrilled to find a TV table that looked unused for $135. The price was great, the service was great. Home delivery was offered, but I did not need it so they carried it to the loading dock and placed it on my trailer.

The furniture store looked very nice and most of the furniture appeared to be in good condition.Using only the appearance and personable sales folks as a guide, I felt comfortable buying there.I bought a NEW mattress and NEW foundation when I was told that it was an excellent quality and that the price was reasonable because they got some sort of special deal. I laid on it and found it comfortable, but how else can you "Test" a mattress. Everything was good...............SO FAR. Immeadiatly after I paid for the mattress, I was told that there was no warranty. OK, these folks seemed nice so I continued. Walking back to the loading area, I was reminded that there was "NO Warranty". I said thanks, I was already told that at the sales desk. At the loading dock, I was reminded that there was NO WARRANTY". Once we had it on my trailer, I was asked if I understood that there was "NO WARRANTY" and that no matter what happened from here on, Allegheny Furniture Consignment would accept no responsibility.I got in the car and told a friend that I was a little concerned. My concerns were soon were justified. I should tell you at this point that I am 5' 7" tall and weigh 165lbs.Within the first week, the mattress began making loud metal on metal noises. Within three weeks, I could feel every spring in the matress. I lived with it for several more weeks till I was near the store again. I went in and told the manager that while I understood that there was NO WARRANTY, I wanted to tell them of my experiences. At this point I thought, perhaps, they were unaware of the poor quality of the mattress. Wrong! They reminded me that there was NO WARRANTY and that the mattress was unusable after three weeks because it was a "Beginer Mattress". What in the world is a beginer mattress? I was advised to put it in a guest room. They know that the mattress is worthless, yet they continue to sell them. They appear to think that if they say NO WARRANTY enough times, they need bear no responsibility for selling items that fall apart if used for their intended purpose.
Description of Work: I bought a matress and foundation from these folks. It was usable for about 3 weeks. They claimed that it only lasted for 3 weeks because it was a "beginner matress".
