I would give them zero stars if it let me.. We bought a brand new townhome with THP Properties. Lomas Carpet was the carpet place. We picked out our flooring and all was fine, carpet and flooring installed looked good at move in. After not even a year we noticed the carpet pulling away from the tack strip area near the kitchen. The carpet pulled away more and more over time, threads started to show and as I vacuumed carpet ripped. One day I vacuumed over a spot and it pulled the threads into the vacuum and created two bigger holes. After the quarantine, I called THP Property to have our yearly walk through. They had Lomas come out. The man who was here seemed annoyed he had to repair the carpet and annoyed with his job. He claimed he could stretch the carpet to fix it but not in the one area where the bigger rips were. He said he would have to speak to someone at Lomas at come back to most likely patch it with carpet from my closet and put a different color carpet in the closet patch, since they probably don't have this color anymore. A few days go by and when we go to move something we realize when he stretched the carpet it pulled it away on the opposite side of the room, under our windows. So now we have a huge one inch gap all along there. So I call THP to let Lomas know that has to be repaired also and when called back was told that Lomas believes that their carpet couldn't just come apart like it did and it most be our dog.. A dog we literally got two months ago, after this issue had happened already. So now we are fighting with THP and Lomas. And, when posted in a neighborhood page, I have found out several other homeowners all have the same issues with their Lomas installed flooring, carpets and hardwood! DO NOT BUY FROM LOMAS! They do not know how to install and then when it starts to separate and tear from walking or a vacuum, they blame it on anything they can to try and get out of repairing it. Way to NOT stand by your flooring. We won't ever use them again and shame on THP for trying to blame us and not the carpet. Looks like we will be filing soon with the Better Business Bureau and anywhere we can to get help.

They had a lot of in stock options for us to look at. They also had a children's room so we could shop. They accommodated to us nicely and had to come back out twice to do the work and there was a crew of 2 people. We are very satisfied with the results of the carpet.

They were careful, professional and finished quickly. I had three other estimates from local companies and their bid was the best for the same product. Roy Lomas was accommodating by delivering the shoe molding early so I could paint it before it was installed. Highly recommended!

They came in, brought 3 men in, and did my hardwood floors in one day.  My downstairs is 750 square feet.  They put the carpet down in one day.  The previous man I got said I would have to move out for a whole week for him to put hardwood on my first floor.  I give them the highest ratings and would use them again in the future.

We found the salespeople at Roy Lomas to be very helpful and knowledgable.  We greatly appreciated their no-pressure sales approach.  The installer of our kitchen floor, Josh, was prompt, pressional, courteous, and very personable.  He did his job quickly and quietly, completing a 12x20 ft kitchen floor in a single morning.  He did an excellent job and we are thrilled with the results.

I had a bad experience with them.  They had installed carpeting on the steps and I was not happy with the installation.  I had them come out several times and one salesman agreed that there was a problem but the company did not do anything about it.  There are gaps between the carpeting and the wall.  They said the carpet did not need molding and when you put your finger you can feel the carpet was not finished properly.  They did 2 other square rooms and I didn’t have any trouble with that but it was just the stairs.  I had lower price estimates from other people.  They were responsive. They were not professional in terms of addressing the issue. I had somebody come out and look at the problem and then the company didn’t do anything about it. I would personally not use them again.

We dealt with Bob Stetto, and he was great throughout the process of choosing carpet, answering questions, and rescheduling our appointments as the home we purchased was a short sale. We are very pleased with the quality of carpet and the quality of the install.

Everything went well.  I used their shop at home service.  The salesperson brought several samples to my home.  I chose a carpet from the samples.  The installers came as scheduled and did a very good job.  I am pleased with the carpet.

I was very impressed by the professionalism of the installers -- no wasting time, no goofing off, no breaks, just work, work, work.  Got exactly what I ordered, installed the way I wanted, and they were very fast and responsive.

We were very pleased with them. We went into their store after going into a couple of other stores that were not very helpful. We had very good service. The lady spent the time with us to clarify what we wanted, what was available and who the various makers were. I had done initial drawings and measurements, which she used. We went in again before we decided that was where we wanted to buy. They came and did the final real measurements. The carpet came in within a timely manner and it was within the time she said it was going to be. We had just had the walls and basements painted and the installers were very good and didn't scar them up. They did an excellent job. They were very professional and there were no problems. We would absolutely use them again.

A rep from Roy Lomas came to the house during our home inspection prior to purchase, and at no charge measured all of the carpeted rooms. A few weeks later, I went to their showroom in Harleysville to get an estimate. I was assisted by Mark, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They have a huge selection, and it would have been almost impossible for me to pick out the best type of carpet for our needs without his help. He was very patient, showing me about 20 different types of carpet that would meet our needs, and giving valuable advice of durability, quality, and appearance. It was clear that he wasn't trying to sell me the most expensive thing in the store, but to get me the best value for my money, and to make sure I would really be happy with my selection. He even stayed late and called the carpet manufacturers to get the delivery dates for the material I selected. Installation day was amazing - the entire process took less than 5 hours, and the crew was professional, friendly, courteous, respectful, careful, and patient! I love how our new carpet looks, and would certainly use Roy Lomas again. Can't say enough good things about my experience!

We were very pleased with the whole experience. Salesman was helpful, measuring and installation was very good. Work was done in two phases which allowed us to move the furniture, pull up the rugs and padding ourselves and paint each room. They worked with us to ensure prompt installation. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone

I had in-home service. The salesperson from Roy Lomas came to my home and brought several samples of carpet and I selected one. The carpet was installed about two weeks laters. The installers were very professional and did a good job of installing the carpeting in a timely manner. I have used Roy Lomas before in other houses and would highly recommend them.

The kitchen floor turned out great. Our installer was kind, courteous and professional. In fact, when we saw a couple of nail pops, we called him and he came to our house the very next day and took care of it. I would definitely hire him again. On the other hand with regard to our carpet installation: Our carpet produced holes not too far from the wall on 2 sides of the room approximately 3 to 4 months after installation. We called to question why there would be holes in a carpet only 3 to 4 months old. The owner first told us it could be a bad carpet, they took a sample we had leftover from the initial installation and sent it to be tested. Their tuft bind test came back that the carpet was okay. They then blamed the carpet installer due to possible misuse of a carpet kicker but then chose to retract that statement and blame it on our dog. We denied it was our dog and to prove to them it was not, we covered the holes as soon as we found them (approximately 3 months ago) and no more holes have been found in the carpet. Another issue we have with them is when the carpet installer came to look at the holes in the carpet, (we thought they would take care of the problem) so in good faith, we had them measure another room in our house to replace that carpet. The installer went back to the company (owner) and told them there were holes in that room too. When we spoke with the owner we told them the installer was not telling the truth and to send someone else out to look at that room because there are no holes and the installer is lying. They still have not come to our house to check on the installer's alleged report. So, they are choosing to believe their installer? Be that as it may, I have people who will attest there are no holes in that carpet nor in any other room in our house (except of course now in the living room where the new carpet was installed). What happened to customer service? Does the company feel that a customer will just go away? Maybe some will, but there are people that work hard for their money. If you let a problem go you might as well flush your hard earned money down the toilet. Companies should be held accountable for lack of or for no customer service. Don't they realize their money comes from the consumer? Maybe they think losing one customer doesn't matter, but that customer might know contractors, neighbors and friends who will spread the word. My hope is that customers will not have to go through what we are currently going through. The amount it would cost a company to fix the problem in the first place might end up costing a company more in the end.

I called to get directions to their store and they asked if I was in a hurry to find carpet because if I could wait a week for their HUGE sale they could save me money. I was thrilled about that. My decorator went with me and felt I got a great deal too! There was a bit of a measuring problem and they did run short. They were able to get more but it took about another 10 days.

Had five rooms measured - 3 carpets did not fit and one had an imperfection down the middle. One carpet installed cased door to drag and prematurely rub. One carpet it is impossible to open door at all. Carpets ordered 1/7/06; 5/15/06 still not right.
