I'm extremely disappointment with the experience I had with Lowry Electrical and Plumbing Service. What was supposed to a routine plumbing job (unclogging a toilet) ended in disaster. Their incompetence caused over $47,000 in damage to my brand new home. A major water leak somehow from the master bathroom ended up flooding through two floors, destroying ceilings, walls, and flooring in both our guest room and the kitchen below. There was clear lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic attention to detail. Despite multiple opportunities to correct the issue, their team failed to take responsibility and offered little to no help in resolving the aftermath. Communication was poor, and their attitude was dismissive at best. Their response? "You will have to deal with the insurance company." We received a settlement agreement from their insurance company that is $10,000 lower than what it will take to fix my home (MY BRAND NEW HOME). So I called and tried talking to them and said lets split the difference from a loss perspective you take responsibility and pay half of the $10,000 difference so $5,000 and i'll take a $5,000 loss which I thought was a fair compromise (I shouldn't have to take a $5,000 loss on a mess they created) That's it. No ownership, no accountability, no effort to make things right. Just a shrug and a complete lack of responsibility for the mess they caused. This wasn't a minor mistake - it was catastrophic. If you value your home and your sanity, stay far away from this company. This experience has been both financially taxing and emotionally draining. I would strongly caution anyone against using this company - what seems like a small job can easily spiral into a nightmare. I hope others can avoid the same ordeal.

If you're elderly do not use this company!! They take advantage of the situation. My 82-year-old mother was charged $1,085 to have her garbage disposal replaced in less than an hour. That price includes their discount coupon. We have called several times to speak to owner/manager to no avail. I understand it's over and done with now and a huge lesson learned to someone who is on a fixed income. Company claims they have integrity, I think not, I can't even get a call back. BEWARE

New Carrier AC and furnace were installed within days on the day I scheduled and although there was a problem that prevented start-up on the first day of installation, the Service Manager appeared early the next morning to correct any problems and had us up and running in no time. Lowry is great. They call to remind of PM scheduling. They establish times for the technicians to show up, and the technicians show up as scheduled. Their preventative maintenance programs are less expensive than their competitors. The technicians are experienced, trained, knowledgeable, and very thorough. They report everything they observe to me and make recommendations as necessary. Any corrective actions are performed immediately after my concurrence. They always wear shoe covers and leave the job site cleaner than they found it. My experience was that when my problem occurred the management team became very concerned that a new installation was not up and running immediately. Then the service manager with 30 years of experience showed up to investigate the problem that they had never encountered before. I appreciated their concern and speedy support. My sales associate was in contact through the whole installation to ensure we were being taken care of., and we received follow up calls post installation. I never doubted that they would get us running. I was impressed we were considered the most important job they had until its completion. I very much like my Carrier system. From Lowry I get a 10 year warranty all parts and labor. I've been using Lowry for years. I trust them and when I needed service on my AC on July 4th ( hottest day that year) I did not have to get in line. My wife has medical problems and they sent someone right out even though I'm sure they were inundated with calls. They make every effort to keep you as a lifetime customer. I highly recommend them for all your home mechanical needs.

Office and technicians pleasant and professional. They arrived as promised. When presented with the problems they seemed to find other small issues that should be done. Somehow there was a miscommunication and the primary reason for the bathroom job was to fix the drain pipe leak which wasn't. Feel as if they may have taken advantage of my wife as I was not there. The work they performed was well done. The price is just outrageous.

Technician determine that the unit was low on refrigerant . Quoted adding refrigerant (R22) to system. They wanted $252.00 for the first lb plus the $89.00 servive fee. Unit was 1 1/2 lb low. Repair would have cost in excess of $500.00. Cost to Lowry for R22 is $30-$35 /lb. Normal going rate is $60-$80/lb plus service fee to customers. I guess with the hot weather coming they wanted to take advantage of customers. I will never call again. I paid the $89.00 service fee

Everyone who visited my home was very professional, very thorough and arrived on time or few minutes early. I appreciated the honesty of the service tech in discussing the condition and pricey repairs of the old unit as I has only been in the home for 2 years and was not aware of poor care it received in the past. Sales rep was also honest on the pricing and capabilities of the new HVAC units available and did not pressure me to purchase a more expensive unit when loan application was accepted for more than the selected unit I was purchasing. Installation crew was exceptionally professional and especially with the weather conditions, the temperature outside was about 90 degrees and inside my home was close to the same being on the 2nd floor and the utility room having to airflow or ventilation, they were quick, clean and took time to explain the new unit and how to replace the filters. This is my second experience with Lowry and will continue to call them for my home repairs!

Did not go well. We confirmed our appointment the day before on 4/25/2017. They would not give a time frame, just stated it could be done any time of the day and would call when the technician would be an hour out. So on 4/26/2017 I waited until 3:30 PM and when I didn't hear anything I called them. They stated there was an emergency job and that he would be at our house by 5 PM. I then get a call at 4:30 PM stating that they would not make it today and need to reschedule for tomorrow. I then stated that I wanted to be the first appointment on 4/27/2017, since I waited all day today without any communication. They said okay, technician would be at the house by 9 AM. Technician arrived at 10:30 AM after sitting in his truck for 30 minutes. When technician came in I showed him both issues. He then took 5 minutes to hook the dishwasher hose to the drain. We then went upstairs to the shower and without even taking the faucet apart to see the washer and or what the issue was he stated that "this was a big job. The hardware needs to be replaced and that I would have to pay for him to ride around and find a match, if he could and would cost over $500.00." I said, "you know all this without taking the hardware off to see if it is just the washer?" He stated, "yes, in my opinion." Being totally aggravated at this point I said don't worry about it, I will get someone else to do it. He then proceeds to tell me, "off the record, you can get someone to do this for about $100.00 to $200.00 dollars." I looked at him and stated, "really!" I then asked for the bill so I can write a check. He made out the bill. I had a $50.00 off coupon. After that was taken off I paid $166.57. So the Total was $216.57. I was dumb founded when I saw the bill. I knew there was a automatic $50.00 charge just to come out but it cost $166.57 for him to look at my shower, do nothing and then take 5 minutes to hook the dishwasher hose to the drain. Would never use again, do not recommend.

Contacted Lowry and they send two different technicians a plumber and electrician. The electrical work was done the same day. Both techs coordinated so the electrical and gas installation for my new range were done per the specifications that they looked based on the brand and model I was buying. For the light fixture, there was a problem with the space and the tech recommended an alternative that fixed the issue nicely. All the installations were done properly and they check everything accordingly. Mike returned after the range installation and corrected some errors from the kitchen range installers so the kitchen looks great. The overall cost in on the high side but the quality of service was very good.

Lowry did send a tech within 24 hours. Their phone rep and tech were pleasant and professional. The tech did treat my home with respect. However, their outrageous pricing policy and questionable work negate these qualities. I requested a quote to remove a remote controller from my Hunter fan housing and to change the wall control switch back to a standard Decora switch. This remote was not part of the fan but an add-on installation. The phone rep could not give me a quote. The tech gave me a price of $158.51 without inspecting either the wall switch or the fan. I thought the price was high but I agreed to pay as it was hot, the remote no longer worked, and I would have to pay the $45 trip fee. The job was performed in less than 10 minutes and the material cost was about $3. After the work was completed, I received a sales pitch to purchase their $99 contract, which allows a 20% discount on all electrical work for 1 year. I declined. Within a day, the fan started to wobble and make a horrible, loud noise. Lowry did send another tech back in 2 days. He did not inspect the fan but he had 2 very creative reasons why they were not responsible for the problem. The first one was something about removing weight from the motor housing and how if you put your cell phone there it would stabilize the fan. Secondly, he picked up a cup on my table and showed me how you can’t replace it in the same spot it was in. I was so astonished that I could not reply. A friend later told me the blades were loose. The first tech had trouble holding the housing while he removed the controller. He commented to me that the newer fans were easier to service. Interestingly, the second tech told me the first tech left the company to return to his previous one. I will need to hire someone to tighten the blades since I cannot access the hidden screws. Lowry charged me an unreasonable amount and has left me with a fan that is not working. I can not recommend this vendor.

The plumber rejected the faucet that I really needed to be replaced--he said it was soldered and not part of the deal. So, since I'd already paid for it, I picked out a second faucet which could be just screwed off and the new one screwed on. The new faucet was, naturally, an inexpensive faucet--but has held up reasonably well since. Subsequently my husband called Lowry about unclogging a laundry tub drain. The cost of that was quite high ($450+), possibly because it was on a Sunday, but I don't know the details because I was out of town. However, because of the combination of experiences, I've continued to look elsewhere for future plumbing services and I've found a reliable, reasonable company through Angie's List.

The service was performed quickly and professionally.  I was initially given a very hard time about using the Angie's List coupon, as the work was being done for someone other than myself, but was eventually able to use it and the service wound up being free of charge.
