While taking down the holiday decorations, one of a pair of porcelain candlesticks was knocked off a fireplace mantlepiece and fell onto the stone floor in front of the fireplace. It shattered into 16 small (~ 1 sq inch) pieces and many tiny fragments. The candlesticks had been i the family for over 60 years. The second candlestick was chipped and had been repaired at least 25 years ago - the glue used had aged and was brown and noticeable. The candlestick are cream colored. A. Ludwig Klein & Son, Inc. repaired both candlesticks. I was skeptical that the one which had been shattered could be made to look like it had never been broken, but I can't even tell which of the two had the minor repair and which was put back together like a puzzle. The reapirs on both were perfectly done. These guys are miracle workers!!!
