LIBERTY NISSAN

First of all, this is Hanover Nissan now (not Liberty)- unsure how this corporate change means anything.  Either way, we bought our car from there in January 2010. The warranty expired and what needed repaired was going to cost thousands (and not covered by the warranty or extended service plans anyhow), so we asked what it would fetch us on trade.  At first they low-balled us, so we spent two weeks looking at other dealerships and test driving.  Ultimately they had a really great deal on a brand new 2012 (assuming they really needed to get it off the lot, so they were motivated to price it to sell) and they came through with a better offer for our trade, so we only had to put a couple thousand down (to get the interest rate for financing where we wanted it) and we bought a brand new 2013 also.  Took in 1, left with 2 and our payments are where we need them to be.  I didn't like how the sales manager tried to be shady.  He asked to "drive it around the lot" - I knew full well that the catalytic converter was bad (their own service department told us months prior), so I knew he took it around to the service department to run the diagnostic because the engine light was off when he brought it back around to me.  He could have saved the trouble and the smear on his character (that almost made us go somewhere else) by A) asking me or B) checking his own service department logs because we always brought it in for their service the entire time we owned it.
