Company was paid 1/2 on first day of job.  Contract stated second 1/2 to be paid upon completion.  Owner requested all but $100 at the end of the third day, and stated he would be back within two days to "finish".  We, unfortunately, complied with his request.  He has never been back to finish the job, although he has been contacted four times since then, with him giving four different excuses each time.  I will never use this company again.  I have learned my lesson and will never pay anything except the final payment upon a job being COMPLETELY finished to my satisfaction. Job was left unfinished, although, as owner requested, we paid him all but $100.  Company should change their name to "D. L Richardson - 99% Roofing".  I submit this report since, obviously, he does not plan on ever returning to complete the job.
