KAL'S INSULATION

Scheduled a Saturday morning appointment for a estimate on water proofing/insulating the crawl space in our 2nd home. Company never showed up and never called to say they would be late or to reschedule. I attempted to call Kals an hour after the appointment time to get his voicemail and I left a message asking him to return my call. I also called the other number that hr gives on his voice mail in a attempt to reach him and got another voice mail which I left a message on as well. They never returned any of my calls.

They were messy, late, did not meet the dead line, and most importantly they did not do a good job.  The spray foam was visible throughout the house which included, the bathroom, tub, hot water heater, soffit, and flooring.  When winter arrived and temperature dropped, the pipes froze in the master bathroom every time it got below ten degrees.  They did not insulate within 2 feet of the chimney.  When insulating the attic they missed many areas, which included a 10 by 10 area which they did not insulate at all. I contacted Richard at Kal's Insulation to come fix the trouble areas and he refuses.  I had a home energy audit performed at my expense, which verifies the insulation problems.  Please do yourself a favor and find a different insulation contractor. 

After a successful install of my insulation on another house, I had them come in for a quote on a different house. 
Kal's spent a good 90 minutes reviewing my project and making excellent suggestions on how to handle the project. Because it was late in the season, they suggested waiting until Spring. They were helpful, not pushy, and gave great customer service for a project they probably could have talked me into doing if they wanted to. Instead, they were honest and straight-forward. A great trade-provider in my area.

It didn't. Company was very difficult to get return calls from,over a week on two occasions. Would not come to the house for a quote but insisted a sight unseen phone quote,which turned out to be over 100% higher than the job that was done by another company satisfactorily in a timely fashion. I would not consider or recommend this fellow at all.

Overall the job was done well. The sales rep. was very nice and was not pushy on my scheduling dilemma.
