Plumber was hired to unclog main sewer, had to rent equipment because didn’t have his own, after leaving first day was doing laundry and running dishwasher and sewer was still backed up , called that night and plumber said would be back next day but once again didn’t have the right equipment to do job, thought problem was solved but 2 days later sewer backed up again, didn’t trust this person to do job again, it seemed like he was trying to ghost me on second occasion but I kept calling, wouldn’t answer, but I kept texting but like I said did not do anything to fix problem on 2nd visit

"I went on Saturday, snaked the sewer with a rented snake because mine was broke. (And his plumber friend wouldnt return his calls)! Started snaking, hit a hardspot where the sewer opened. We talked for about 30-40 min while running water, nothing backed up. Texted me pics of drain backing up again Saturday. Told him id come out Sunday. When i got to his house he told me i better get it open, he didnt want to tell the new buyers who already bought the house because he didnt want to pay for a new sewer, hed clean up so nobody knew i was there! I snaked it, got it to drain, cameraed sewer at no additional cost, showed him the cast iron pipe was corroded and bellied (holding water)! He said as long as it lasts long enough to get his things moved out of the house and new buyers moved in for a while! I explained to him he should disclose this to the buyers, that its illegal not to! He didnt want to because he didnt want to have to pay to have it fixed! I actually got right back to [Member Name Removed] after he texted me Saturday about it backing up again, i have his texts to prove it but theres no way to post them. If it backed up after my second trip there Sunday he didnt tell me! I tried calling to resolve the issue but he wont call me back!"

Try-County Plumbing has done multiple jobs for us over many years and we are always happy with their work. They’ve done several plumbing repairs (our house is older), installed a hot water heater, and replaced a portion of our external sewer line. Bob, the owner, is thorough and patiently explains what needs to be done and answers all of our questions. He works hard and even cleans up when he’s done. Bob was great. He wasn't supposed to work today as he had family obligations previously arranged. He took care of my plumbing needs + his obligations. I was frantic because I didn't know what was happening and why. Water was running out of tub spout but it was turned off. Lots of wasted hot water. Thank you Bob for taking pity on me and helping me out.

But then I talked with Bob. He was AMAZING! He came to our home within one or two days, and took care of things while we were working. He was always available on the phone and in person when he said he would. He returned our calls, always. He said he was going to do what he said he would, how he said he was going to do it after letting us know about the alternatives to fix things. He was very clear about what could not predict at any given time, and always let us know what was going on. He handled water pipe issues that we had been warned about by the gas company as well, as he was trying to fix the gas line. He brought along help to get the job done as quickly as humanly possible, and did cover the living room and thing in it so things would get dusty.
His quote was together with the other two higher quotes (just slightly), but his service oriented and professional attitude was what made the difference. He made it easy for us to trust him and the results were excellent.
One only thing I learned to do better next time: although they bring plastic and sheets to cover work areas, have extras ready for them in case they need to work in other areas of the house and don't have enough covers of their own.

I contracted Bob to do some sizable renovations to the plumbing in my house after being given the run around with two other firms. Bob was extremely prompt and professional in coming out to inspect and give me a fair quote for the work. Everything went very well, they even worked all day on Saturday to finish the week-long job without delay. There were some minor communication issues, but nothing that would prevent me from recommending Bob to anyone in a similar situation. I purposely waited to submit this review to make sure that everything is working, and no issues have arose since they completed the work over a month ago. His dedication to completing the job and quality of workmanship was very much appreciated.

The plumber came during the day and determined that we needed a new hot water tank. He contacted the HSA Home Warranty Office to receive approval for the replacement. He returned later that evening and replaced the tank. We appreciated that he did not make us wait another day.

Bob was able to provide this service on the very day that I called him (after another company that was scheduled called me to cancel at the last minute). I was very happy with Bob's work. He was punctual and very professional. He did not and quot;upchargeand quot; the necessary parts. He spent about 4 hours working and cleaned up after he was finished. As a bonus, Bob was thoughtful enough to remove his shoes before walking onto my light-colored carpets. You don't see that often enough. I will definitely keep Bob's name on my contact list for future reference.

Wasn't an emergency install, we planned a date for the install. He was clean and efficient, job took about 3 hours. Workmanship looks professional, no mess made and old tank was removed and scrapped by Try-County.

"Even though this review was an A I would like to explain a little more about the price which I thought was very fair. $950.00 to install a 50 gallon gas water heater, water pressure regulating valve, thermal expansion tank and fittings, run off tube, copper pipe and fittings necessary to reconnect new water heater back to water system, plus approximately 3 hours of labor, removal and haul away of old water heater."
