Hired Tom to coordinate remodel of kitchen - new wall, ceilings, sub-floor, flooring material and install, wiring, lighting, plumbing for a Washer & Dryer. This was all being done as a surprise for my Mom who was in rehab facility after surgery. Tom guaranteed his work 100%, but would not sign a contract. I had to write on the back of a piece of lumber and get him to sign it. He sent a painter who was had a problem with alcohol and smelled of liquor on the job. Painter would leave for lunch and not come back. I brought this to Tom's attention and he simply had the same painter return to finish the work. I did change mt mind on one wall treatment twice, but readily agreed to pay the additional costs. Payment was made in full, promises were made for him to come back and do some touch up work, but I could never get through to him again. He works out of his home and his wife would take messages, but I never got a call back. I actually wanted him to do some additional work on the back porch, but could not get him to call back.I finally gave up.
