"We are sorry you find us an unreliable company. Your thermostat was a Carrier INFINITY CONTROL S/N: 4407W000291. In the thermostat serial number you can find the 07 which shows the manufacturer year, and we installed the unit in 2008. The thermostat had only a 5 year warranty which put your thermostat OUT OF WARRANTY proving your statement was incorrect. The old Infinity Control is no longer made and was replaced by a touch screen Infinity Control. We did not have inventory of the new thermostat at the time of call. Our technician had to drive to our wholesaler to pick up new thermostat. We discounted the price of the new thermostat. We provided maintenance on the Heat Pump, Furnace, filters, and installed the new thermostat at a total of $863.20, not the $1,100.00 you mentioned previously in your complaint."
"Customer called three weeks after the job was serviced when he received his bill. He never called after the service man fixed his furnace to complain about the quality of the service, only after he received his bill. He called because his oil furnace was down and no-heat and we responded the same day to fix the issue. All oil furnaces are piped in differently and if the original oil tank was installed properly with shut off valves, there would have been no issue with the mess. Furthermore, when our technician arrived at the job, there was already oil dripping on the shelf of the furnace due to a faulty seal in his existing oil pump. He was already aware of the oil smell when the technician entered the house because he told the service man the reason he called was the smell and noise coming from the furnace. On occasions, when you open the oil lines some siphoning may occur because of the height of the furnace and the oil tank. After talking to Peter, our technician told me that their were existing oil stains on the floor. Our technician is experienced in servicing oil furnaces with well over a hundred of successful service calls on oil furnaces with no complaints other than this one. The only reason the customer is unsatisfied is because he didn't want to pay his bill. He insisted after the service call that he could have fixed the furnace with parts he could have bought from Amazon for a fraction of the cost of the invoice. He wanted the furnace fixed promptly, which we provided."
"This was a new house that Demilio installed new duct work 15 years previous. At the time of said work, the basement was unfinished. The builder, Art Noble, finished the basement without contacting Demilio. The contractor installed duct work in basement by another sub contractor other than Demilio. Previous homeowner lived in that house for 12 years with no complaints. Bridget purchased the house and the existing furnace needed replaced. We installed new furnace and informed her the replacement would not control the basement. We proposed a separate unit in the garage to control the comfort in the basement, and we also proposed installing a heater in the garage. Bridget refused both proposals."
