Young's Home Comfort

Since we have Young's Premier Comfort Plan [24/7/365 service including parts & labor], a technician arrived about 30 minutes after the initial call on a Sunday evening to the answering service. Unfortunately, the issue was one of those quirky electronic issues; however, the technician was able to jury-rig the system so we regained heat. A subsequent visit several days later with another two hours of diagnostic labor provided no solution, but we still had heat. A third visit with two senior technicians ultimately resolved the problem - a hydro fan control unit malfunction. Bottom line, the annual service contract saved us plenty of expensive labor charges, and also garnered a 20% discount on one of the few parts not covered under the service contract. They also diagnosed and resolved an unknown issue with a condensate pump that impacted the Aprilaire humidifier that was not working properly. Bottom line, we continue to be highly satisfied with Young's Home Comfort who we also use for our heating oil deliveries.

We have a Premier Comfort Plan, and on a late Sunday we found we had no hot water [our furnace supplies the hot water]. Called company and the service tech arrived in about 30 minutes.  Problem was solved within the hour.  While the annual plan costs $358, it includes an annual tune up pre heating season + this was the third time we have used it  for additional heating issues [new thermostat - new Extrol pressure tank and assorted piping - new igniter assembly on burner] making the initial outlay well worth the cost.  Just try to get service on a Sunday evening!  Will re-up for yet another year.
