Belmont Solar was great to work with from start to finish. They accommodated all of my requests and questions during the system design and were very clean and professional during the installation. They are a great local business and truly care about their customers and quality of work.

In January 2017, I contacted Belmont Solar for a quote for a grid tied roof mounted solar system. Out of 5 local companies, Belmont Solar had the most affordable system for the system size I wanted. Within a week, the owner, Ben, and Randy came to measure the roof. They even had a solar app that they used in the roof to make sure the system would produce as expected. They noticed 2 trees that would interfere with production and sent me a quote to have them removed. I signed the contract while they were here and saved $200 off the cost of the system. Belmont did all the paperwork for the permits. Randy kept me updated on the status of the project and answered any questions. They were patient as I got a loan to fit my needs. As soon as the loan and permits were acquired, they set a date to begin installation. They then had to push the date back a week. They worked for 4 days to install the racking and panels rain or shine. They also had to install a new service mast and meter base which was not in the origional price, but would still be included in the price for the 30% federal tax credit. When the inspector came, he said it was the cleanest looking system he had seen so far since the wires are not exposed. Everything was installed to code and working well. From the first contact to installation was less than 1.5 months. It was a much faster process than expected. The 9.3 kw system has been working well for 30 days. Despite the 25+ inches of snow, rain and clouds the system has produced over 100 kWh! I am able to see each panels production and the total weekly, monthly, and yearly production from my phone or computer. Belmont Solar is great to work with and even sent me and my son t-shirts. I look forward to working with them in the future!

Successful solar installation in 2012.  The system was well explained to us and customized to meet our needs.  The Company has been very responsive to questions and changes to make the system work according to our needs.  Scheduled maintenance continues to be performed in a  timely manner (most recently April 2016).  All employees were pleasant to work with and we felt comfortable with them in our home.  Would highly recommend.

Due to a recommendation from a friend who knew of Belmont Solar's reputation, I contacted Ben a year ago, he looked at my house on google earth and went to work showing me various options and explaining the benefits of a solar system. He was more knowledgeable than anyone from four national companies I had previously spoken with. He was kind, patient and I could tell right away he was a man of integrity to whom rendering proper service was very important. Due to finances I had to spend carefully, he never attempted to pressure me to buy bigger. The whole experience working with Ben was a real pleasure, I felt he was looking out for my best interest, not just his own. I trust him like a family member!

He is willing to take the time to help you understand exactly what solar will or won't do for you.

After unfortunate delays on my end, he sent his team to do the installation. Isaac and Jonathon are very competent, furthermore they are polite and respectful, very trustworthy coming in and out of our home. My family felt very comfortable having them among us. They are personable, intelligent and very good at what they do, I am very grateful to both of them.
