I asked Mr. Homan a question about how he was going to secure the replaced slate. He told me he was going to glue the slate to the roof. When I asked why he didn't use the customary nail in stakes that the previous contractor used, he became very irate and started yelling derogatory remarks about me/my question to his crew. He literally got in my face and exclaimed that he has been doing this for 30 years and who did I think I was to question his skill. I literally thought is was going to get physical. finally, after telling him that if he couldn't answer a simple question with a rational answer, I dint need him working on my house he got three inches from my face (literally!) yelled some other derogatory comments and I had to become rather persuasive to get him to leave my property! I can t imagine what would have happened if it had been a lady (or a man of lesser build) confronting this man. BEWARE; I would consider this man dangerous!
Description of Work: Company/Mr Homan was supposed to replace missing/damaged slate, re-point a chimney and replace missing caps. I did not end up paying the contractor, because I stopped him before he started because of the poor quality material and the intent on how the job was to be done. Est. $1,200.
