installing our new front door was not a simple job. The old door frame had to be completely removed and the frame re-built from the floor up. It's an old house, where little is level or plumb but that door looks fabulous!
We have worked with and/or interviewed many (10+) different contractors during our mission to complete this place. Whitefield & Co, LLC. was BY FAR - THE most professional contractor we have contacted. And their work extremely high-end!
They gave pricing and scheduling estimates at time of inquiry, was easily contacted and available, once door arrived scheduled installation within one week, completed the work as scheduled, AND (most stunning of all to me) Matthew was actually on site!!!!
Oh, how I wish I had come across Matthew and Whitefield &Co., LLC. earlier!
He was in contact with me, as the week approached, and answered any questions I had. It came to light that the company I work for was facing some financial trouble, and it looked like I was out of a job. We rescheduled for a month later, and Matt was okay with it all. I really felt badly, because when I commit to something, I don't like to back out for any reason. Matt reassured me that it was alright, and to just let him know if anything else changed. The start date was a week out, and I got the call from Matt, to confirm that we could proceed as planned. Luckily we were, and he started on a Friday with the demo.
He and his worker, Eric arrived on time, and in good spirits. They got right to work, after Matt discussed with me, what they would be doing. After removing the existing flooring in the Attic, he discovered knob and tube wiring, which we both suspected would be there. He called his electrician, after getting my approval to do so. The electrician came out that following Monday and gave us an estimate. Matt was understanding that funds were tight, and allowed us to pay him at a later date, and he would pay the electrician. We were truly impressed at that point. Not that we weren't before, but that put him above and beyond. Matt installed the structural members without a hitch. His electrician, and insulation guys both came, and were equally professional. Matt came back after they were through, and installed the new 3/4and quot; plywood flooring. I came home from today, and thought my wife had vacuumed the house. Come to find out, Matt and Eric vacuumed, and there was literally no trace that they were here, other than the finished attic.
Matt quickly earned our trust, and as Naval Veterans, that is not an easy feat. There is no doubt that we will utilize Matt's services in the future. Thanks Matt and Eric for your great work!
