I thought everything went well until several months later when my car was at the dealer's for a check-up. The mechanic called to tell me that the hitch and cooler were installed wrong, and that I would soon have transmission trouble. I took it back to Uhaul to have it fixed. The person there put my van on the ramps, left it in reverse, bent my door the wrong way, and crumpled my fender. I have been without my van for a month now. The body damage is repaired, but their insurance company has not made payment. As you can understand, I would not have the original repairs fixed again at Uhaul, so I had my dealer do it and Uhaul refuses to pay! Do not let Uhaul install a hitch. They also rehung my bumper incorrectly.
