Sal Leo is just the best. Last night, around 9:15, in the worst windstorm I ever remember, a tree hit my house – just got uprooted in some sort of microburst. First, I called my insurance. They told me to find someone to remove the tree before anything else could be done. But, they gave me no names. Luckily, Sal had done work on my property in prior years. So, probably around 11pm, I called his emergency number. He called back within 10 minutes and said he'd be there at 8am the next morning. He came earlier than that, bumping me up in the pile because of the dire circumstances. I was worried about how the tree would come off – would removing it do damage to my siding that wasn’t done when the tree hit? But, Sal removed that tree with no negative consequence to the house. Everything was cleaned up by 9am and I was on my way to find roofers to repair the damage to my roof. I’ve been thankful for Sal before, but never as much as this day. I can’t say enough what it meant to have someone answer the phone that night, with the tree laying on my house – someone I knew would do a great, professional job. Honestly, it was great just to hear his voice and know he would come, as promised.

Sal and crew pruned several trees and removed one tree on our property this past fall. Sal provided a written estimate and I agreed to it via a follow up phone call to him. He advised it would be several weeks before they could do the work as fall is a busy time. He contacted me the day before doing the work to let me know they would be coming the next day. I was at work while they did the work. All was completed as agreed to and debris cleaned up. We have used Sal in the past and always has been a good experience.

I was actually blown away at how great these guys were. I've used other tree services in the past like Expert Tree Service who was unreliable and never followed up. Sal is 100 times better than anyone I used. Efficient, hard working, honest and does a great job. Real pro's at a great price. You need a tree guy you call Sal!

Sal is one of those guys that you're just glad he's around. He pruned five large trees (two oaks and three maples) on my front lawn. One of the oaks is over 100 years old. He is probably the only person I'd trust to work on my beloved old trees. They actually climb the trees to prune them -- something that seems incredible to me, but comes across as if its all in a days work for them. In addition they removed three problematic trees (dead or leaning) and pruned another smaller one. When Sal comes, he brings a crew with him -- a good crew. I was concerned about clean-up after all of that pruning. But they did a great job, which is much appreciated! It's enjoyable to watch good people do good work in a professional manner. This is the fourth time Sal has done work on my property in the past 3-4 years -- and each time he does an excellent job. Sal is also very polite and knowledgeable -- just a pleasure.

Sal and his crew arrived right on time. They were all very pleasant and professional and quickly went to work. The 3 trees were next to the road but in electric wires -- but they were easily able to reach them with their bucket truck. While there - I asked Sal about another large pine tree on the side of the house and an additional old stump. He provided a reasonable cost for the additional work - so I also had him take down the additional tree and stump. When his crew finished, there wasn't a tree branch or pine cone left in site. Everything was spotless. I was very pleased with the work provided by Sal Leo and his team.

Honestly, I think he underestimated how much work it would be to fell them, but he did not charge me any more than the estimate. Sal and his group are extremely professional. I could watch them the whole time -- they really know their work. He could identify the sumacs without any leaves on them, and he told me which time of year he could come and give me the best price. The man knows trees. He gives his opinion on how to handle other trees on the property, which does not include doing more work than is necessary. I'm really glad he is around! I wish I knew someone like that for all of the services I need around my house.

Sal and his team did an exceptional job. He has a very good reputation in the area (3 friends/neighbors recommended him) and it is clear why. He came to see the trees the Friday before he was leaving for vaction, and got me a quote by Sunday PM. I left him a message to say the quote was fine (a good bit lower than several other quotes) and to call me to schedule when he got back from vacation, but he called me back the next day to say he could fit me in the end of the week when he got back. When they came in the morning, it was all business. His team was FOCUSED. They managed to take care of everything in a 1/2 day. When finished, they raked any debris and hauled it away. Quick, professional and very reasonably priced - the homeowner trifecta! I would highly recommend Sal Leo's Tree Service to anyone needing help with their trees.

Tree removal is never a fun thing -- a tree died, fell, or got too large for the area. Either way, it was something you wish did not happen.

That said, these guys are so professional, it really takes the sting out. They are fun to watch, they are so good.

When you hire Sal Leo's Tree service, you get Sal Leo -- unlike many other tree service places. He clearly takes pride in his work and reputation. Some of his crew has been with him for many, many years -- and it shows. They come loaded for bear with equipment and just get the job done as if they have done it many, many times before -- like an orchestration.

Also, when Sal came to give the quote, I asked him about other trees -- one of which I was certain had to come out, even though I preferred to leave it. He gave his honest opinion and did not push the removal of the tree. That really impressed me. He seems to know a lot about all kinds of trees.

When they did the work, their workmanship was okay. I don't use them anymore simply because I don't need them. They weren't excessively high or excessively low in price. They came when they said they were coming. I would use them if I had a tree that I could use them for. What they did was pleasing and satisfactory for me, we were both happy, they got their money, and I got my tree taken care of.

This guy is great -- professional, polite and clearly very skilled at what he does.

He comes with a very professional crew and plenty of machinery to get the job done. Sal did all of the tough cuts himself, including  in a cherry picker without which I doubt the trees could have been removed. Stumps were removed and everything was cleaned up very nicely.  He arrived on time -- actually even early the second day -- and the work was done very quickly in each case (the trees were done in two half-days, on separate days).  Actually, they were fun to watch.

Despite a large workload he removed a third tree that was not a part of the original work plan, because it was apparent it was threatening the house (leaning and being pulled out of the ground). This was very much appreciated.

After the initial estimate it took some time to wait for him to come, something like a month.  But, he is well worth it.  If you think about it, most of the time the people you need to wait for are the good ones because they are in high demand.

Any time I need tree service, I'm calling him.

Sal completed the project two days after we contracted for the work. It took only a few hours. The work was done carefully. The stump of the downed tree was ground up. All tree debris was raked and removed. One of our trees had been chopped by the power company contracters. Sal took the time to explain what he was doing and why in pruning this tree. It looks so much better!

Once he noticed the problem he was back in 2 days and worked on one of the coldest days of the year. He cut the wood and piled it as I instructed.

Overall it went well. I have only talked to Sal over the phone and have not seen him for estimates or when work was being done. He has a fair price, does the work requested while we are not at home in a professional manner.

Removal went well.

Sal Leo came out and quoted removing two trees the day after I called him. The work was scheduled the next week. The crew showed up on time and cleaned up very well. Price was very reasonable and the service was great. Sal has a small crew so its probably best to try him when they are not that busy.

It went very well. I received an estimate within two days of my phone call. Sal Leo's Tree Service was there to cut the tree down two days after we made our decision. They were on time, cut the tree down, left the wood we requested and hauled everything else away. Everything was cleaned up and away they went! I really expected more drama with such a large tree, but things went very smoothly.
