The work started on 3-17 & was finished on 3-18 by the end of the day. The wall is beautiful and needed replaced because it was about to fall and was 52 years old. Everyone on the crew and the owner were friendly, polite, punctual and professional. We would recommend them to anyone.
.Upon moving in to the home, I called Michael Walter as he had the previous owners contract for strictly cutting the grass. I had been made aware that he had a history of doing a great job with fair pricing... according to the sellers.
Mr Walter handled himself in a professional manner and came to the house and rang the doorbell for a solid face-to-introduction, which is something I value and appreciate as good old fashioned business etiquette seems hard to find these days.
I advised him of some of the smaller trees and shrubbery that had built up along the one side of the house, and served no purposes regarding privacy or aesthetics, and expressed my desire to have the entire lot of it removed.
I was surprised to actually hear that the quote was less than $300, because I was sure it would have been $400-$500, as these were quite large and deep rooted plants/tress. He told me that as long as I could wait 2-3 weeks until the schedule lightened a bit, that he would do it for $285, just come with some of his workers and bust it out in one morning, and leave the invoice in the mailbox.
And not only is that exactly what happened- but I was quite impressed with the quality of the work done. All of the trees and shrubbery were removed, the deep roots were dug up and removed, and the topsoil was turned over and leveled, leaving the appearance clean and ready to go (whether I end up planting grass or adding a concrete walkway).
Needless to say, I will be continuing to use Michael Walter for my landscaping needs as I settle into my new home. Having a solid landscaper that does fantastic work at a great price is a nice comfort for me as a first time home buyer.
