I would definitely hire EAS again. They were extremely prompt and communicative (messaged them Friday afternoon and got a call Monday morning), and they were able to resolve the issue very quickly.

EAS Roofing was great from the initial estimate all the way through the install process. My project manager Justin kept us informed and provided us photos along the way. The whole install was finished in 1 day!!! I was amazed at how hard everyone worked. I have and will continue to refer them to friends and family.

EAS will destroy your home if you let them – they are incompetent and unprofessional. They’ve caused thousands of dollars of damage to our house in only 4 months, both inside and out, in trying to fix their own mistakes. We’ve involved the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Office of the Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, and now a private litigator in trying to address the damages they’ve caused. We hired a third-party licensed roofer to inspect their work, and he concluded that “In an attempt to perform repairs it actually created more damage to such areas. The current roof system as it stands today will continue to experience a degradation process as its overall anticipated life was significantly shortened, further water penetrations, slippage, adherence abnormalities, wind damage is inevitable and future repairs is certain if it is to remain. It and is recommended to be replaced by a qualified roofer.” In the 3 years since they put in a new roof and gutters on our home, 4 shingles have fallen loose, and we recently decided to call under their “10-year workmanship warranty”. In the 4 months that have passed since, they’ve come to our home 6 times and caused 2 leaks on 2 different floors, destroyed the gutterguard they charged $3000 to install, punctured the metalwork on our windows, dented the crown of the roof, destroyed our landscape lighting, left literally tens of trashbags in our yard, left our master bedroom and living rooms walls destroyed by water, used the caulking and towels out of OUR OWN garage to plug the holes they created, and simply ruined our home (this list could go on). Caulking, rusty nails, and broken, dangling flashing can all be seen from the street as the roof stands now, and EAS is telling us they’ve just “replaced” it. If I were to enumerate the obvious lies and bogus they’ve fed us, this review would never end. If you are seriously considering having any work done by this group, please see the photos included in this review. They were taken by a licensed roofer. I would be more than happy to provide a copy of the inspection report containing these photos (and more!) to anyone interested in seeing the kind of work EAS can do to a home.

Roof turned out okay to the eye, but here I am a year and a half later with brown water spots on my ceilings due to leaks. Totally unprofessional. They were in my back yard smoking weed the whole time, and when they were finished with the roof they left about 3 cigarette cartons worth of cigarette buts in my front and my back yard. Completely trampled and destroyed my wife’s garden. They removed an old exhaust fan off of the roof and told me that they capped and taped the wires. They just cut the wire and stuffed it in the attic, been blowing breakers in my attic for a year now and I finally figured out why when I climbed up into the roof to figure out where the leaks were. Expensive repair bill, unprofessional, drug use on the job. The whole crew were kids in their 20s getting paid cash and they were all from Ohio. Very shady operation, they were certainly not all shingle masters as they say they are. Would not recommend, should have just done it myself.

"At EAS Roofing, we do not tolerate unprofessional behavior. If any behavior is reported to us, we have strict disciplinary action. You have contacted us about your water stains and with our sincere apology, we scheduled an appointment with our technician but no one was home when he arrived. We are trying to contact you so we can get you back on the schedule to complete that repair. If there are any other issues please let us know."

EAS came out to my house and did repairs on some shingles and replaced trim on the side eaves. While they were up there, they noticed that the caulking around my chimney flashing was bad and they replaced that. They were very considerate and fair. Good work, and I would definitely recommend them.

Unlike every other roofing company I have contacted, EAS is a no nonsense, professional, courteous and upfront company that cares about customer satisfaction. They show up on time, get right to work and their fees are transparent so there's no mystery or sticker shock. They provide you with before and after photos of the job so you can see their work and know it was done right. When I need roof repair, I'm calling EAS because everyone is just wasting my time.

Second question worker asked was about billing me...before he asked what the problem was. The first roofing company I ever hired that did not want to see the interior damage to help assess the leak. They were there from the knock on the door to exiting the property approximately 45 minutes but charged me a full hour at $350 and $50 for sealant. They were on the roof for about 20 minutes. Very poor communication. They then emailed an invoice within 2.5 hours and called my cell 2 hours after that about the invoice. Wow are they great at collections. I pay my bills, even for poor service. They are a rip off!! Do not use. I have multiple roofers for different properties I own, this company was the worse and won't use them again.

Contacted EAS roofing last week to discuss several roof repairs - we had small water leaks in three areas, as well as a couple of pieces of metal top roof cap material that had blown away. Two men from EAS came today to inspect and fix the issues. They arrived an hour early (after calling to make sure early arrival was okay) and fixed everything in a couple of hours. Total cost was about half what another roofing company quoted us, and they were very transparent with their pricing (hourly plus materials). Would definitely hire again for a roof repair.

Roof replacement went very well. Strong team of 8 workers and a supervisor. Old shingles removed within 2 hours. New shingles, including a sky-light and powered vent fan installed by the end of day 1. Quality of work appeared strong. Biggest issue was the slow response to wire up the power fan, which occurred 6 days later. This was mainly due to an ill electrician. Electrician did a great job and in under an hour. My biggest comment was that the communication regarding when this would occur was very slow and required several prompts by me to get it scheduled.

We have a steep, cut-up monster of a roof that estimators told me would take a least a week to complete. EAS finished the job in 2 days! I've never been so impressed by the effectiveness, quality, and professionalism of a roofing crew. We needed a complete tear-off and partial deck replacement. Once we were signed and scheduled, EAS sent us a 'homeowner guide' well in advance of the installation date that was informative, entertaining and explicit about what we could expect from the experience. Aaron (Project Manager) made sure we were prepared and aware of exactly what would happen and when. He was there when the job started and during the post-installation inspection; competent, responsive, and informative. Tom (supervisor) and his crew arrived early, swarmed the set up process and got right to it. This was a February installation and those men literally worked from dawn until dark, tearing off, cleaning up, and prepping for the next day. True to form, Tom was early the next morning and drove that last nail well after dark. He made sure is crew was polite, courteous, and productive. Our property was kept clean throughout the project with driveways, sidewalks, and flower beds magnetically swept for nails at the end of each day. Tom was engaging, enthusiastic, and confident; an ambassador for EAS and a master of his profession. Eugene (owner) was accessible and responsive. He's straight-forward, kind, and a man of his word. (The hand-written 'Thank You' card at the end of the project was a nice touch!) He gave us competitive pricing up front that matched the final invoice. He knows his business and understands the people side of the equation, he's an impressive entrepreneur! The finished roof and gutters look fantastic (just like Aaron promised) and certainly added value to the property. Other companies that bid on the work seemed like hacks when compared to the EAS approach. If your objective is quality work, minimal hassle, and promises kept, look no further!

UPDATED EXPERIENCE AS OF 10/8/2018:The owner contacted me and sent a representative to perform the work. They offered to replaced the roof but the quality of the roof was not the issue. The roof was stood all the way without a leak, my original complaint was the professionalism of the roofing crews, the owner did recognize that and address it. I feel based on the professionalism of the owner has an A rating. ORIGINAL EXPERIENCE FROM 12/14/2017:I did not hire the company through any Angie’s List specials but did hire them because of their Angie’s List rating as a Super Service company and Angie’s List certified. There were three call backs after the two day installation. I did not rate the quality of the work due to my inability to determine the quality, however, I do not have any confidence in the company due to the general lack of professionalism. Overall quality is not an average, but is a conclusion, so I gave them a "D" as their performance was, at best, minimally adequate and possibly inadequate. Specifically, I just spent $4,100 for gutter guards and related work, and I advised the EAS salesperson that I wanted ladder stand offs used so the ladders would not touch the gutters or the gutter guards. The cost of the standoffs is minimal and should be standard equipment used by anyone claiming to do quality roofing or siding. The salesman assured me that they would be used if he had to buy them himself. In addition to not using the stand offs as agreed, the roofing company did not remove the remnants of the old gutter anchors as agreed. The gutter company had left remnants of the old gutter anchors, as they used their own. They did not remove the old anchors as they did not want to disturb the old roof. The roofers were to remove these while the roof was off. They didn’t and this was one of the call backs. However, if it makes sense that removing them at the time the gutter guards were installed because it might have damaged the old roof, it makes sense that removing them after the new roof was on might have damaged the new roof. Again, the standoffs were not used; the roofers used a spongy material on the ladder where it touched the gutters when doing the roof and no protective material at all for the callbacks. I have no way of knowing if there is damage to the gutters. There is none visible from the ground in the places where the ladder was placed, but I cannot see the top of the gutters without going on the roof. I am not going on the roof to look. I hired this company based on their supposedly being a Super Service company and shouldn’t have to be concerned about damage. In addition, the gutters were damaged, not where they placed the ladder, but on sheet metal on three inside corners. The roofers did not tell me about this and that is the reason for the second and third call backs. They left one still damaged on the second call back. The fact that I had to tell them about it makes me wonder what else might be incorrect that is not visible. In 2012 I had another company, no longer available, who did a roof repair and told me I probably had 6 to 8 years on the roof. As that time is approaching I wanted the assurance to not have another leak with consequent possible structure damage so, for peace of mind, I had the roof replaced. I do not have that peace of mind. Granted, the roof may be done correctly but I don’t know that. I might as well have stuck with the old roof until it leaks. This is like buying a new car and finding out it had a major wreck. The repair may be perfect but it still isn’t what you paid for; you paid for a new car. I have what I started with; a repaired roof, not what I paid for; a new roof. I don’t even have confidence that it has been repaired correctly. I really do not think this company is worthy of the Angie’s List Super Service designation. If this is their typical work they should be banned from Angie’s List with the advisory message that they do not meet Angie’s List criteria.
