They have big nursery out here, and they have a lot of unusual things in that nursery. They can get you pretty well anything you need. However, they are expensive.

Eric Leeson did an excellent job designing the front beds, using a combination of existing and relocated mature rhododendrums, and new plantings. I had drainage problems at the front of the house, and he also installed drainage tile, and piped gutters away from the house. We are very pleased with the plantings, and drainage system works great. Only problem on the job was the initial attempt to run the drainage piping to the back yard. I live in a very rocky area, with shallow natural top soil. The ditch witch hit significant shallow rocks on the initial route. The route had to be redone in the front yard. In all, it looks and works great, but it cost an extra $900.00 in labor to reroute the piping. I believe the misstep could have been foreseen by soil probing, or a test excavation.

Project management was OK, but not great. Eric Leeson was our project manager and when things went wrong, like poor grading and water management, trees failing, he did not take responsibility and blamed others. Many of the plant, bushes and trees were not the size that we ordered not of the quality that I expected. Billing and invoicing could not be reconciled as they never matched to what their estimate was. Some of the larger trees were not secured (2-3" caliper trees), hence wind and movement of earth have tilted them of destroyed them. Plantings in the front of house were tiny in comparison to what was quoted. Recently Styers sold their business to some large corporation and it is nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone there as it looks like they have gone out of business.

Our overall experience was a pleasant one. It took some time, however, to get the plants installed as Mr. Sigda seemed very busy with other projects. Also, there was a delay with 2 of the trees. We had to wait an extra week for them.
