Thir Heating & Cooling

Jay was punctual, professional and a perfectionist as always. He helped me choose the best whole house AC for my needs and budget and got it installed in half a day- and this house never had whole house air before. He had to move our thermostat location but that was no problem for Jay. He went over tips on how to save energy cooling my home by keeping drapes drawn on sunny windows, adjusting diverters in the ducts to move the cool air to the rooms I want cooler. This old 1947 built home was not set up for AC, but right now I'm sitting in cool comfort thanks to Jay and his Dad who helped with the installation. Jay is my only choice when it comes to any HVAC needs. He's a pro that knows his stuff and is happy to share that knowledge to help your home comfortable weather it's winter or summer. 

Jay had been here before with Pete Kusko to install a new furnace so I knew he would be good!-Pete only works with the best! He arrived promptly and did a thorough cleaning and check of the furnace so we know it will be running well when the cold weather hits. I had some questions about AC systems and he explained options very well and gave me a lot of information that I didn't know about how cooling systems work in the home. Professional, polite and a pleasure to deal with!

I was immediately impressed with Jay Thir. He was punctual, professional, and immediately put me at ease about having a stranger come into our house with no one but my mom and I home. He went straight to work, and quickly identified the problem to be within the motor of our somewhat outdated heating/cooling unit. He confidently stated that while parts might not be available for our specific unit, he was certain he could repair the motor itself with perfectly compatible parts, if given the opportunity. He further explained that he could do so for only several hundred dollars - not several thousand. Lastly, Jay Thir assured us that he stands behind his work. As soon as I authorized the expense - Mr. Thir began to make phone calls to his suppliers to order parts. He then left for about an hour to go pick up everything he needed to repair our male-functioning motor. Not much more than an hour after he returned, our unit was fully functioning. At the time, it was needed to cool our home, so Mr. Thir also checked our A/C unit outside. The other HVAC provider insisted that our system would need to be recharged due to a coolant leak. Mr. Thir assured us that there was no leak, nor did our A/C unit require additional coolant. That was over a year ago - and the system is still going strong! We recently called Thir Heating and Cooling to schedule a routine maintenance on our system to ensure we'd be good for another season; we'd call no one else!
