"Thanks [Member Name Removed] for the recognition. The after pictures look awesome as this job was very difficult with a 100+ year old farmhouse.."
"Thanks so much [Member Name Removed] for a great review and you will enjoy those windows for many years to come. Rob Mato"
"Thank you Bill for the review. We work hard to offer a great value to every customer. We are one of the very few companies that are truly local selling windows/doors as a specialty."
"Thanks for selecting my company. We specialize in windows and our windows, workmanship, and honest up front pricing is unheard of in this industry. You will be much cooler this summer and much warmer this winter. Appreciate the opportunity."
The following is the response I received: "Spoke with James my installation manager late last night. Our windows are in compliance with our installation methods and caulked properly. He thinks it is a siding issue (i think window leaks above 2 windows in close to the same spot leans towards the siding too) and you should contact a local siding company. Your siding or j channel has failed is his guess. I would not tell them when you got new windows or that I reviewed this, just let them check it out. Make sure they will give you something in writing as to their findings before they come out so you can contact your insurance company (this is what I would tell them). If for some reason they tell you its the windows, we would need a detailed report as to the findings.I wish I could say its something we can visibly correct. It costs me "0" to correct issues if I found something."
Just because you can "visibly" see a problem with your installation, doesn't mean there isn't a problem. Would not recommend this company for two reasons now, poor performance, and the unwillingness to stand behind their work.
"We had another installation crew that inspected this job Sunday 3/22/15 because of this filed negative review (I inspected 3/13/15). They confirmed as our original inspection did, "the windows and capping are installed and sealed correctly". I sent an email to this customer 3/23/15 in the late morning with a picture of what might be wrong with her siding, as we are not a siding/roofing company, we are a window company. Our crew caulked an area where there was a gap between her siding and J Channel in hopes of maybe this is where she has water issues. This really points to a siding issue when you have two windows above each other that leaked in almost the same spot (water runs south). We also suggested to her this could be "ice damming" which is common in the insurance industry when water comes into a house since this leaked only "1" time in in 8 months since we installed the windows. We have asked her to remove this negative complaint on 3/23/15 because it has no merit and she has not responded. I told her on 3/17/15 via a email, to get a SIDING company to review and she just wanted to file complaints against us instead of being proactive and take our much caring, and concerned advice."
"[member name removed], We appreciate the opportunity very much and work hard everyday to satisfy our customers in this competitive world....I hope you are now a lot warmer with those great "Energy Star" new windows rated at a .26 U-Value. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you, Rob Mato"
"Hi {removed member name} , Please submit a final review when you have a chance. Thank you for your business. Rob Mato"
Rob, the business owner, came out and showed me my options for vinyl replacement windows. He very thorough but not pushy. His price was very fair and the installation was excellent.
I also replaced some windows in 2013, buying them myself at a big home improvement store and having a handyman/carpenter install them. For the same amount per window Rob gave me a better quality window and Jim the installer, did a much better job with the exterior capping and caulking. The new windows look great and my wife and I are very pleased.
I will definitely use Keystone again, as we are working our way around the house, replacing a few more each year until they are all done.
"Thanks so much for the great rating. We try very hard as a medium sized business to do the best we can. There are very few companies in this market with a great reputation and a reasonably priced window."
"Thanks so much for the excellent rating and I hope other members will be interested in our great value program. We work very hard everyday to be the best window replacement company in the Philadelphia market. This is our specialty, our focus, and what we love to do. Thanks again, Rob Mato, Owner."
I recommend Keystone to all who need new windows.
"Thank you for recognizing how perfect we try to be. It is nice to read how a homeowner appreciates great work at a very fair price without all the high pressure and gimmicks out there. Our value remains unmatched in this industry and we will try to remain a little old fashion at all times. Thank you, Rob Mato, President."
"We appreciate these comments and work hard every day to satisfy all customers. We offer a great value without the pressure most companies apply when they are in the home and will save you thousands of dollars. We will continue to offer the best value in the industry in hopes of getting lots of referrals and recommendations. If you have to buy that day "RUN" or if the offer is too good to be true, it probably is."
See above! Everything went well.
"Thank you for recognizing the hard work we put in everyday to make sure all customers are completely satisfied. We thank you for your business."
"Thanks for the great referral and recommendation. Our customers are our greatest strength."
"We strive to give every homeowner the best value while not sacrificing workmanship or quality."
"The second story Bay window was difficult and we are glad you are happy with the value we offer. Thank you for your business."
I'd met Rob at the Valley Forge Home Show earlier this year and what stuck with me was that he was very low-key (and that's a good thing!) for a salesman, unlike most of the other home improvement companies I'd spoken with at the show. 8 months later, we were finally ready to get windows. When we made the appts with each potential vendor, we'd said that we were just starting our search and wouldn't be making the decision till we'd met with a few companies. Rob was the only salesman that listened to that and didn't pressure us to sign that night. He said - I know I have the best window and the best price. Take your time, meet with other companies and give me a call when you're ready to sign. That's confidence. We met with other window companies and their products were good, but not better than, Keystone's and the prices were significantly higher.
When I called to check on the order status, I mentioned that 1. we were very anxious to get the windows as soon as we could and 2. that we'd need to be here the day they installed the LR windows b/c our dogs would have to be outside that day and we had to keep an eye on them in the yard. The windows were due in Monday the 19th and installation would be sched. after they arrived. Installation was estimated around the end of Nov.
This past Tuesday, Charles from Keystone called to ask if they could install the windows Black Friday & Saturday. We were surprised they were working on a holiday weekend but were thrilled to get them in a week earlier than anticipated. We figured it would take 3 days to do everything.
Promptly at 8 am yesterday Charles & his crew of 3 guys arrived and started removing the windows. My husband & I were astounded at how quickly they worked. It was like a well-oiled machine. In 9 hours yesterday, they got all 21 windows installed and the capping installed on about 9 of them. They were back at 8 am sharp today to finish the capping and caulk the remaining windows - they were done by 1 pm. We couldn't believe it only took a day-and-a-half!
I worked in the fenestration industry for 8 years so I can tell a quality product from one that looks pretty but may not perform too well. The windows are fabulous! Our neighbor has the most god-awful noisy car that he needs to rev up for 10 min every morning so it won't stall out. Didn't hear it or the noisy motorcycles that like to race down our street! It's so quiet in the house now and we've noticed how much warmer the house is with the thermostat at the same temp prior to the window replacement.
Now, while we were very happy with the sales process and the product quality, we have to say just how WONDERFUL the installers were. In addition to being very hard workers and competent at their job, those gentleman were so nice and friendly and are great with kids! We have a 9-year old and she watched TV in her room while the windows were being replaced. The installers chatted with her while working on her windows and she was very comfortable having 4 new people in the house for two days. When they finished Friday, there was still work to be done on all the bedroom windows. The installer working on her room reinstalled her blinds (without being asked) so she would have her privacy. That was so thoughtful and we really appreciated it. Upon completion today, the guys again took the initiative to reinstall the blinds in my daughter's room because they knew how excited she was to have her room finished.
After they were finished, we spoke to one of the installers about our very old, drafty front door. It has a stained glass transom and fancy frame molding that we want to preserve. Carlos offered a suggestion about a particular type of door that could be used to replace the current one.
Also, the installers cleaned up the exterior and interior debris at the end of each workday.
We are just SO pleased with Keystone from start to finish. Once again, our Angie's List subscription has been worth every penny!
"Great family and a pleasure to do business with. Those that like a honest, up front, different approach to this industry should call Keystone for no games, gimmicks, false coupons and all the other stuff that goes on out there. The owner handles every sales call and guarantees all work."
"We appreciate the nice comments and work hard offering great value ever day. Thank you for your business."
"Thank you for recognizing the value we offer every customer. We appreciate your business."
